This song of course became a well loved song in Germany as Barry recorded a German version of this "Zeit Macht Nur Vor Dem Teufel Halt".
I think there are more versions of this song on TV shows ( I believe there are 7 and of course 4 are live vocals) and film clips than any other songs by Barry except perhaps for Eloise, thanks to the loyal German fans who shared these.
This video was created in loving memory of Barry and Paul and has been uploaded under the terms of Fair Use. No copyright infringement intended.
I created this with green screen effect by using videos of dawn to sunset with clouds to demonstrate the time passing and then used footage from 3 or so video clips and added colour to the black and white footage.
A lot of this footage was from German TV Shows from the German version of Today which meant of course Barry was singing different lyrics.
The audio was sent to me by Stefan as he and Erhard had remastered the original material before the release of the expanded albums early this year.
This song is from Barry Ryan's 'Red Man' album which was released in 1971 and when you look it up it describes the sound of the album as symphonic rock.
Again, thank you to Stefan and Erhard for your hard work and for sending me this.
This song is another fine example of the brilliance of Paul's songwriting and it shows a maturity and wisdom rare for someone only 22 or 23 years old which was Paul's age when he wrote this.
If you liked this please add a thumbs up ( like) and subscribe to this channel but more importantly please keep watching and listening and share their music with the world so another generation finds their music.
I am taking a short break for a few days as received my 🍒 Cherry Red Records 🍒 Barry Ryan 1969 to 1979 five CD Clamshell Release 🎵 and am loving this and immersing myself in the music. 🎶💕

I added the lyrics for you all.
With love from Tasmania,
Tia
Today, I thought that every dance would have a dancer.
Today, I thought that every singer had a song,
But today, I learned that I was wrong.
Today, I thought that every mother had a father.
Today, I thought that every father had a son,
But today, I found that I was wrong.
Don't ask me why the seasons change,
It's
Don't ask me why today's today,
Yesterday is not tomorrow.
Today, I thought that every question had an answer.
Today, I thought that every answer was the proof,
But today, I learned the truth.
Today - yesterday - yesterday
