This is Barry Ryan 💕with the slightly mad 🤪(in a typical British Mad Hatter 🎩Tea Party 🧁🧸☕️ kind of way and I love it ) but adorable song called 🥴~Feeling Unwell~ 🤪written by Paul Ryan and from Barry's second solo album which was simply called self titled "Barry Ryan" from 1969.
I believe this song sort of inspired Freddie Mercury to write "I'm Going Slightly Mad" for Queen much later as the words and feel remind me but this song by Paul is actually heavier to my ear.

I just adore these witty lyrics, sung so perfectly by Barry. I added some sort of slightly mad clip art images to this version, I was unsure if this works or is too much so I did 2 different versions, one one with lyrics only at • 💕 Barry Ryan♡ 🥴~Feeli...
I thought it was the perfect song to share as I am struggling with several chronic health conditions like auto immune disease, Fibromyalgia , migraines with auras and the effects of Long Covid.
I am needing to take things slow for a little while to see if my migraines can improve with less computer ( and mobile phone ) blue light effects and also to let the new medication work.
It is very frustrating as I cannot do much at all when these daily migraines arrive as I cannot see much for a little while and the after effects are very unpleasant.
I remember Barry being very witty when he was interviewed for Record Mirror October 4, 1969 just before this album came out, when he mentioned a song being called "Feeling Unwell" and when the interviewer, a female who was no doubt charmed by Barry, was told by Barry " The song is about all about a lady journalist who is sitting drinking a milkshake when a fist hits her and she doesn't feel too good" , the interviews continues as the "lady interviewer writes that Barry said this jokingly because " And all because I asked Barry if there was anything worth mentioning on the album- though fortunately Barry understood what I meant and was only joking" .... I had to share this with you all as just love this interview and Barry's sense of humour.
In that same interview a " robust" older lady approaches the table where Barry is being interviewed and asks for an autograph, she then says :" My daughter just loves you" only to then add " I can't understand why though " . LOL Barry was not at all perturbed by this.
I never will understand people , she asks for his autograph ( for her daughter obviously) but then has to add an insult, so there's proof that the 60's were not perfect ;) .
I created this one from different videos and also added Paul of course, sadly the same footage I have to use as I do not have more. I added the lyrics for you all.
I feel blessed that I got to meet both Barry and Paul, I got to know Barry better than Paul as I saw him more often than Barry and Barry kept in touch with my father until my father passed away.
I can only say again and again what a truly lovely man Barry was ( as well as Paul) .
I send you love
From Tasmania,
Tia
Lyrics are below and German translation will be posted as a comment for meine Lieben in Deutschland.
Feeling Unwell
Oh, I thought I'd knew you well
As if you didn’t know
As if you couldn’t tell
Don't laugh at me or cry, my love
Smile, the whole world smile as wide,
But if you smile too much
They lock you up inside
I cry my love
Don't laugh at me
Every day I think about you now
In my way I get to you somehow
Where, well, when
Oh what how?
Ohhhhh
I thought it'd never shows
They said it was my clothes
They were a little strange
The Bonaparte you never change
Could it be
That, love
I am unwell?
Come for tea
Inside my padded cell
Tea and Toast
And lime green figs
Like a spinning wheel I spin
Do not just let me in
To things I can't explain
Don’t laugh at me
I am in pain
Don’t laugh at me I am insane
Aha aha aha aha ……..

Hello Tia, sorry to hear you're not feeling so well, but that things will improve for you soon 💕. This is certainly a quirky song from Paul and Barry, but then we Brits have come up with some other slightly mad songs ie, the Birdie Song (chicken dance) Agadoo, the fast food song, and the London Underground. I'm sure there must be more 😁😁. Kx

Hi, I was thinking of Queen as I feel that Paul and Barry paved the way for a lot of bands. It is a quirky song but there is depth to it, typical for a song by Paul, dramatic, with flair and certainly no gimmick song like the chicken dance. Paul and Barry had such flair and I still am in awe of their talent. Wishing you a lovely weekend, Tia xx
