BARN FIND, YAMAHA VIRAGO / WILL IT RUN is a video on a Virago, I picked up for $250 in N.J. I brought it home and now Im going to see if i can get it up and running. If I can get it running then Im going to turn it into something really cool. tune in and follow along and see how it turns out. keep your fingers crossed and wish me luck. Hopefully the motorcycle gods smile on me, and I come out with a really cool motorcycle on the other side. As always people, ride safe and live life behind bars.

Had a question for you! If you could pick any bike to build from 1975-1985 Japanese bike what would you build? And your absolute favorite yr,make and model bike? Your dream bike?!?

First I want to say thanks for checking out the video and tuning into the channel. Second I would have to say I had to think about this for a while. I would first have to figure out what style of bike I wanted to build. Bobber, Chopper, Cafe Racer, ect. Me personally I'm more of a laid-back Cruiser, Chopper kind of guy so I would have to pick a bike that I could build that kind of a bike out of. And for me personally I've always been a huge fan of the Yamaha Virago. It was a great Cruiser right from the showroom floor. I know cuz I bought a new one in 1985 it was the 700. They started making the Viragos in 1981 and they were a Monoshock in 84 they went to dual rear shocks that was the second generation. So, I bought one new in 85, I also have a 1994 at the present time that I have customized and profiled here on the channel. I am also working on a 1985 with an 1100 motor in it right now on the channel, and I just bought a first-generation Virago 2 weeks ago so I would have to say that was the bike I would pick to build prior to 1981 and the Virago I would probably go with the XS Yamaha 650 for all the same reasons. Now that being said, if I was going to go with a performance bike, say Cafe Racer Style build. I would have to go with the Suzuki GS line. I have a Suzuki gs750 1978 this is probably going to be the next bike I do on the channel. Now these bikes back in the late 70s and early 80s were the muscle bike to have. And even these days on the race circuit guys are taking this bike and motor and pulling 14,000 RPMs out of them so that is the one I would pick if I was going to do a speed and, performance build. Now if you want to know what my Ultimate Dream bike is, year make and model. Definitely a Harley-Davidson Panhead from the late 40s or early fifties, preferably a 1948 all original absolutely bone stock. there's just always been something about the Panhead. I absolutely love the look of it, I know it's never been known for performance, and probably not reliability either, but I have always just thought that is the most beautiful bike. Maybe someday when I get enough of my projects done, and I sell off a bunch of bikes. Maybe, I'll be able to have enough money to buy one. "We all got to have a dream". Until then I guess I'll just ride and build the ones I have. I really have to say thanks for commenting, that was a cool question. Thanks again for checking out the channel and, the video. Ride safe, and live life Behind Bars.
