Thanks for checking out our channel! If you enjoy our adventures in Barcelona, make sure you check out our other videos in Spain, as well as other European gems like Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Croatia, and many more!
Question please you 2 lovely people, I am 68 years old as a child aged 11 my late parents had a touring caravan, we travelled through Europe and visited Barcelona. I remember two things, there was a wonderful fair overlooking Barcelona which we kids had hours of fun at, no idea if it is still there, then turning to the food chicken cooked in brandy on a rotating spit which we had with Paella it was so wonderful I can still recall it today even though it was 1970 when we went there, I have to this day never tasted chicken cooked on a spit that even comes near to the magnificence of that moment and to add to the wonderful experience the Paella was out this world, I have never forgot that experience, can you still get chicken cooked on the spit in brandy and herbs? Thank you both as it is on my bucket list, bless you both xx
A list of the actual restaurants you visited would have been nice.

Definitely not something that comes to mind when you think of breakfast, but somehow it works! Great way to start a weekend 😋
Thanks for the amazing video! Been watching so many Barcelona food tour videos these days before our trip. None actually shows what’s different about the food there vs rest of Spain. Without a drag of 20+ min!

Great suggestions! One thing about the paella, though… freshwater shrimp in Southeast Asia often have claws and that was a langoustine lobster… there are even folks who term our lobsters as crayfish.
That toasty part of the paella is called socarrat and everyone fights over it. That "baby lobster" is called cigala and it is a crayfish.

Good to know! Thanks for the info! We LOVED the socarrat!!

Between Madrid and BCN which or where did you enjoy more? Planning a trip soon and we are torn between the 2 like how long in each city. And love your videos!

Thank you so much, that’s so exciting to hear you’ve been enjoying the videos! That is a tough decision between the two. Both are great, and there are awesome day trips around both areas too. It probably comes down to if you prefer city life or the beach. Madrid has amazing restaurants and great nightlife, but there are no beaches. Barcelona has miles of beautiful coastline, but the food can be more hit or miss. There is no wrong answer, we enjoyed both, but our choice would be Madrid 😁 hope you have a great trip!
Minute 4:21 The garlicky sauce is very healthy, and it is part of the so-called Mediterranean diet. Minute 8:46 Valencian seafood paella.

did you do all of these stops in one day? (asking only 1/3 of the way through the video haha) how did you get around? or how would you recommend getting between each place? :)

We did most of it in one day! Some of them are actually walking distance from each other, but the metro is a great way to get around Barcelona as well! Hope this helps, we appreciate you checking out the video! 😊
Hi. Croquetas do not normally include cheese and potatoes. The inside is bechamel with something (jamón, chicken, cod, shrooms...)

Hello. I am from Brazil and will go with wifey and kids to Barcelona, Madrid and Lisbon in December/January. Any favorite restaurants you would like to share?

Hi! We’d definitely recommend Barraca in Barcelona if you’re looking for a meal with a view of the beach! There are so many great tapas restaurants in Madrid, you can’t go wrong. One of our favorites was El Viajero in the La Latina neighborhood! Have a great time on your trip! We’ve never been to Lisbon, but could not have enjoyed Madrid and Barcelona anymore. We are sure you will love it!

Paella is not traditionally a Barcelona thing, paella is Valencian.

Paella Valenciana is not traditional in Barcelona, but I can assure you that paella is traditional. We made it different that’s it
@mickybcn7453
Жыл бұрын
The valencian paella is made with rabbit, chicken pork artichoque and other vegetables, in Catalonia we prefer the paella marinera made with fish,only fish,now we call paella too because is the name of the pan where is cooked but when i was child the paella was named arròs amb peix or arròs a la cassola (rice with fish).and cooked in a clay pot.
@alexandrejuve1305

A really silly thing to say, paella in Barcelona is been eaten for generations and is different from the one made in Valencia. There could be where it was first made, but here is as traditional as there, as it happen in many other places. The best paellas are in Delta de l’Ebre region.
What you ate is not a small lobster, it's a shrimp!

langoustine
Croquetas are not potatoes and cheese, croquetas are made of bechamel, then you add jamón, cod, whatever you like to add, but the cream inside is bechamel. Also, I think that those "bombas" you eat are actually albóndigas, not croquetas!

The croquettes do not contain potato! It’s actually béchamel! So delicious 😁
Its cool that you want to make a video about spanish coussine, but you’ve made so many mistakes. 1. Iberia doesnt exist, Jamón Ibérico comes from many parts of spain which belong to “La península Ibérica” (a big chunk of the country). Iberia is an airline company lol. 2. Croquetas have nothing to do with potatoes or cheese. They are made from bechamel. 3. Those extra “crispy rice bits” are called Socarrat.
@MaxandSidney

The “socarrat” was so delicious! We really enjoyed all of the food. What a wonderful city! Thanks for watching and for the interesting info! 😌
The WORT FOOD paella don’t eat this crap anywhere in barcelona
Firstly,don't bother going to Barcelona,it's overun with tourists,crime ridden and overpriced wherever you go,there are hundreds of other ,much more worth while places to visit in Spain
It’s a shame you didn’t bother to mention the places you gave your patronage to. Very weird and very off putting. I’m going to Barcelona for 4 days next month and besides La Campana, those other businesses will miss out on my business 😢
