I would like to go to Naxos but had a few questions about getting around the island. Do they have automatic vehicles to rent? Do you have to go through the mountains if you want to see other villages? I am terrified of heights. If we don’t rent a car, is there Uber service on the island or strictly taxis? Are taxis easily available? Thanks!

Why the hell do foreigners go to the Riga Central Market? Just WHY?!?!? The only thing interesting about is the fact it used to house zeppelins. That's it. Take a look at them from the outside and try not to get pickpocketed. I'm not saying there's a problem of pickpocketing there, but I, a Latvian, always get the vibe of "I might get pickpocketed here, this place seems shady." And saying the place smells? Not really, the word I would use is "reeks." The meat pavilion is bad, but the fish one? IT. REEKS. The place is not charming. It's not even interesting.

Hi Max & Sidney, I’ve been to Oahu many times, like staying in Waikiki as I enjoy the ‘buzz’, especially in the evening. Usually rent a condo, also an a hiker. Haven’t been back since Covid, this brought back good memories. I watch a lot of travel videos, I have to say this is one of the best. The editing and storyline is perfect, and so is your voice. I even learned some new things about the Island. Thanks for this, be well.❤

Shimazu Store in Honolulu is (in my opinion) better than Matsumoto. Also bigger LOL Added bonus: right up the street are the original Liliha Bakery, Foodland for fresh poke, and hole-in-the-wall Jane's for great saimin. Gives you a sense of what local life is like away from Waikiki. Hack: avoid the crazy lines at Marugame in Waikiki and hit the one in downtown Honolulu in Fort Street Mall.
@MaxandSidney9 күн бұрын
Thanks for the suggestions!! We will definitely have to try those out next time! We had no idea there was another Marugame location, that would definitely be nice to avoid the long lines next time 😅

You covered most of the popular foods on O'ahu, which is a good start for new visitors. The rice in plate lunches comes from Japanese immigrant food, not Filipino. The red beans (azuki) in shave ice that you've seen is also Japanese. Japanese pronunciation of "musubi" is not "muSUbi" -- more like "musuBI" and "udon" is not like "u-dawn" -- "O" is always pronounced "oh" in Japanese, so the "don" is pronounced like udohn" or the last syllable in "condone."
@MaxandSidney10 күн бұрын
Wow, had no idea those were the pronunciations!! Thanks for the info 😊 we were really impressed with the Japanese food on the island, and all of the food in general!
