CHEAP Eats in Barcelona: Pintxos! | Spanish Street Food + Montjuïc Tour

**Filmed before the Covid-19 Outbreak**
Our 5th day in Barcelona brings us to one of our most memorable (and wallet-friendly) experiences in the city: a pintxos bar! Not only that but we also explore more of the city's food scene with a traditional sweet Spanish breakfast at La Pallaresa and delicious paella at L'Arrosseria Xàtiva! Explore with us as we also discover what beautiful Montjuïc has to offer!
0:00 - Intro
0:28 - La Pallaresa Xocolateria
Carer de Petritxol is famed as the 'chocolate street' of Barcelona and La Pallaresa is one of the many legendary eateries situated here. Expect hot chocolate, crispy churros and more incredible Spanish breakfast treats. You've already done your day right if you start it with churros and chocolate.
Address: Carrer de Petritxol, 11
4:40 - Torrones Vicens
Write this down on your list because we promise you'll be doing some souvenir shopping here. Specialising in 'torrones' (Spanish nougat), you'll be spoilt for choice with a plethora of delicious sweet treats. Oh, and did we mention they give out generous free samples?
Address: Carrer de Petritxol, 15 (Multiple branches across the city)
6:15 - La Tasqueta de Blai
The ULTIMATE cheap eat in Barcelona (in our humble opinion). A Pintxos bar is a must when visiting the city. Luckily Carrer de Blai in El Poble-Sec is dotted with these bars so go crazy. La Tasqueta de Blai definitely satisfied our stomachs and our wallets' wellbeing. Indecisive people (and Libras) beware, you're definitely gonna want to spend a few minutes having an existential crisis because you just can't choose from the millions on display (or is that just a me thing?)
Address: Carrer de Blai, 17
12:12 - Montjuïc
You'd need a full day to explore all that this beautiful hill has to offer, so pick and choose your battles wisely. We decided to walk to the top of the National Museum of Catalonian Art to soak up some great city views only to top it off spending a gorgeous golden hour sunset at the Montjuïc Castle. Definitely one of the best places to view Barcelona! Entrance is free every Sunday after 3:00 pm and we were lucky enough to visit during that time.
16:19 - L'Arrosseria Xàtiva
4 days without rice was taking its toll on our Filipino stomachs so were succumbed to the temptation and went to a nice modern paella restaurant called L'Arrosseria Xàtiva. Some people are of the sentiment of 'don't bother having paella in Barcelona' but we here recognise that we don't always get the chance to visit Spain. SO. ORDER. THAT. PAELLA. (Unless it's from a tourist trap restaurant in La Rambla then don't)
Address: Carrer de Muntaner, 6
We'd love to connect with you!

Going to Barcelona for the first time, we were thinking of getting around in taxi since we have never been on a bus or metro. What do you suggest? We don't want to spend an arm and a leg either.

Hello! I think it also depends on what kind of luggage you have and where you're staying! We picked the taxi since we had quite massive suitcases. It was the most expensive but definitely the most convenient option since we got dropped off right in front of our hotel. If you're travelling light and your accomodation is near then I'm sure the metro will be much better and cheaper! Hope this helps!
