I'm from Barcelona and I must say this guy's choices are actually legit.

I love James's videos and followed his guidance during a 5 day trip to Barcelona. He was spot on with his reviews. Every tapas bar or bakery he recommended was amazing and we would have never stumbled onto these places if it weren't for his videos.

Exactly what we're planning, like all that knowledge is priceless!

We found out about devour tours through these videos and recently took the Barcelona wine tour. The food was awesome, the wine was even better and Enrique (our guide) was the best host that we could have asked for. I highly recommend devour tours.

James thank you for these food films not unlike tapas themselves small amazing nuggets of food knolleg and after them my food knolleg is full and ready to explore brain tapas if you like.after these little nuggets me and my wife have started to explore Spain's diverse and total amazing food and culture so I thank you dear chap and your team keep keeping on and keep finding all these amazing places to eat for us to visit thank you

La Plata was one of the stops on the Devour tour I did 2 weeks ago....Our group was seated in the far right corner. The food was incredible and the fried whole anchovies were to die for. Don’t be squeamish- eat up! The staff were some of the nicest people I met in Spain. To access the toilet you have to go behind the bar and I got to peek into the tiny kitchen. Very impressive how so much delicious food is produced so fast out of such a tiny space. I was traveling solo and chose Devour tours in both Madrid and Barcelona; I highly recommend them! Both guides, Annette and Luke were so friendly, welcoming and professional. At all stops we were treated as welcome guests and not as PIA tourists, which I did feel at some places I tried on my own. Thank you for making my trip so memorable!

We have been watching your videos for over 4 years. My husband is half Spanish, with grandparents from Salamanca. Last week, on our second visit to Barcelona, we booked your Tavernas, Tapas and History tour in the Barrio Gotico. Eric was our guide and he was fantastic! A tremendous tour, wonderful food and drink (I am now a sweet vermouth fan!) and interesting sights, information on this wonderful area. We are planning our second visit to San Sebastián, and another excellent Devour tour will be part of our itinerary.

I loved the time travel! Cute! You make me want to go back TODAY!

As someone that has been a tour guide, concierge and filmmaker oh and one of the biggest foodies around, you did a fantastic job on this video. just came back from barcelona ate at the bar del pla FANTASTIC !! omg truth is you cannot find a bad meal in barcelona it is just a question of great and greater.....

Boquerones is also my favourite tapa! Flying to Barcelona in a few hours for a mini holiday and writing down all these suggestions 😍

Great vids! Although, surprisingly, I found a bar in a super touristy area that I started frequenting there in BCN. I went to watch the MotoGP races, because I couldn't get my TV to work, and they even brought me things on the house, with each visit. :)

Thanks for this video, I was in Barcelona this last week and used some of your recommended stops. Bar Brutal and El Chigre were brilliant. La Vina Del Senior must have changed hands as it’s was pretty grim, maybe the staff had a bad day? So thanks a bunch, this video and others made this trip great.

Excellent video - planing trip to Spain in October some of the comments by locals are silly. Not sure I understand the "only tourists eat Tapas" comments . The video is made for tourists who are walking around exploring the city and enjoy occasional drink and tapas. I went other night and had tapes in NJ and was happy trying different tapas. I think tapas are perfect for tourists.

Just watching some of your videos about Barcelona. Love your energy and enthusiasm! I am trying to learn about Tapas and figure out which places to go. The only concerns we are having is that we don't like seafood and don't know much Spanish.

👍😍😋❣️The food in Barcelona is delish❣️The ham (normally I do NOT like ham, but the ham there was amazing), patatas braves (yum!) ... sooo good. I really liked the mini tapas bites (bocadillos), croquetas, and the gazpacho soup. The anchovies you were eating looked interesting. I'd try those. Bar del Pla in the Gothic Quarter is one I went to. 👍 Thanks for the tapas foodie tour!!!

I was watching Kitchen Nightmares episode of the "tapas" bar Runaway Girl, and I've never had Tapas so I wanted to find out what real good tapas are supposed to look like before I go back to watching the Gordon Ramsay show. Thanks for showing me what true culinary art is supposed to look like. Those places looked amazing.

We are heading to Barcelona in June with our family, teens, and grandmas, too. Are there any Tapa Bars/restaurant where I can actually bring my teens to?

Are tapas bars open seating or do you need to wait to be seated?
