its the wildest privilege to be able to have your vehicle touched by the legend, let alone a private tour of his facility and a lesson about turbo diesel engines on your OWN truck. Brian is such a nice guy but to not listen to Gale Banks would be unthinkable

Exactly. Gale Banks has been playing with diesels for better than 50 years, and is widely regarded as the leading expert on anything that burns diesel. Brian is…well…we’ll say diesels aren’t his area of expertise (that being said, a 7.3 excursion was a pretty damn good pick. Personally, I’d rather see a manual behind it than an autotragic, other than that he couldn’t do much better…and I’m a Cummins guy, but still willing to admit that). As for following what Gale was saying…I’m an automotive and diesel technician, and I probably only followed about 80% of what he was saying, and he was trying to simplify it for Brian’s sake. 😂 Definitely a situation where Brian called Banks up and said ‘hey I’ve got a 7.3, I want it to do this, this, and this.’ And Banks said ‘Alright.’, didn’t elaborate, and handed over a truck that exceeded expectations.

Brian will live. He's rich enough to take a unicorn Excursion to Banks. I must also say smart enough. I thought he was going to be doing some ridiculous lift with tires far to big that make it drive terrible. Honestly with the exception of that hideous front end the truck was fine. Well that and I would get rid of the 2 tone color. Paint, different front end and what would really be ideal is if it was a manual and not an auto. Even if I had Brian's money I wouldn't go crazy because if I was trying to tow something really heavy I would just buy a newer dually diesel truck.

I have a 7.3 also . 99 f350 single wheel flat bed I use for my tree company . Absolutely love it put 34k on it since 164k . Appreciate the older trucks they literally don’t make them like ours anymore

A collaboration i never thought I'd see, I love doing strong man workouts and have been watching brian for some years now. But i also love working with diesels( especially 7.3, i got a 95 obs 7.3 myself and done all upgrades with these 2 hands). Never thought this would happen but really enjoyed seeing this. You can tell brian don't know much of the diesel world but knows enough that 7.3 is the best 💯

I used to work on a couple of the super charged Detroit Diesel engines Gale spoke of. The 6V53T and 8V71T. His KZread critiques on his channel are absolutely hilarious. Especially the BS button!

I love Banks work, it's like an OEM upgrade but better quality. Banks does not just target raw power, they have a good balance of reliability and power. While also staying with a factory look and feel that is 50 state legal. That is a huge deal these days, and I respect the effort they put into it.

Awesome collaboration! I used a lot of Banks products over the years and love them. They add power but don’t hurt your engine or transmission. Love that they design there’re mods to be used while towing without hurting the vehicle.

Similar to Brian, another individual who is truly passionate about his craft. Nice to see Brian associate with someone who does things correctly as well. 50 state legal on a diesel is a big deal, especially if we want to keep them around.
