I gotta say Lovebites is superb in its own right of examplifying what heavy metal really is in a whole. I've turned down requests from friends and family to check other groups out that out of my bluntness and passion of inspiration for music I know I would just make people get hell bent against me. Ive tried the hypes of others but I gotta say out of what I listen to my standards stick too high for others. The ladies of Lovebites are insane geniuses and have my fan support.

This band plays several different styles from heavy thrash metal, to soft rock ballads, speed metal, regular rock or hard rock, but mostly power metal. They have songs with the acoustic guitar, piano, and the vocalist does some ballet in a couple of songs. They won the 2018 Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new metal band, and three years later they are even better. You have started with a theme, anime metal, although it is not what they play the most. They play just as relaxed as live. "Empty Daydream" "A frozen serenade" "Dancing with the devil" "Edge of the world" some great songs. "EPILOGUE" live 2019, this jewel is going to enchant you. And if you like the songs more Powermetal. "Thunder vengeance" "Hammer of wrath" "break the wall" ", ect, ect, ect. They have more than 50 songs and all very good.Each song of this band is pure gold, for its music and also for its lyrics.

This band leaves everyone speechless or blown away or both. They are phenomenally talented and unlike any other band out there. They have two of the best guitarists, an amazing singer, a strong bass player, and a relentless and amazing drummer. This isn't even their fastest song. They are among the best bands ever. ALL their songs are sung in English.

congrats, you two. you found them. they can go toe to toe with every band around these days. the video was shot one day before christmas 2020 in a wedding chappel in tokyo, because the wanted some of the iconography in the video. and the second storyline was about: what if he came back these days? if you want more of them: their live concerts from 2019, 2020 and 2021 are the gold standard, every song is fantastic. honestly, they have not one bad song in their backcatalogue of around 50 songs, not even a filler. bloodstock festival should be avoided because of the song. I would recommend as next one "set the world on fire" tokyo 2021, a relentless thrasher. or "edge of the world" tokyo 2020, their "bohemian rhapsody. or.or.or. Hi, Thank you for listening to LOVEBITES. First, the origin of their band name. The band name "LOVEBITES" is derived from the song "Love Bites (So Do Eye)" of the American hard rock band "Halestorm". "Wow." That about sums it up. Welcome to the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. Whatever the description, I think one can say they have given metal a badly needed makeover and maybe a new lease on life. They have themselves said that part of their mission is to save heavy metal from darkness and obscurity. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and soul of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the greatest European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands. The whole group then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed most of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics. They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. This is one of their more recent releases. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like a demon). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." They are one of those rare bands that sound even better live. This song was specifically written by Midori (blond guitarist) during 2020 to encourage humanity (the guy in the video) to lift ourselves out of the depression through "learning to love yourself, the greatest love of all" and "the reason to be me!" Lyrics by vocalist Asami on Midori's theme, and friend-of-band Mao contributed to the music. LOVEBITES songs consistently encourage self-empowerment, perseverance, integrity, dignity, personal responsibility, empathy and unity-in-love. Wow! Yes, welcomed to the mind-blowing world of Lovebites. These women are extremely talented, skillful and exceptional musicians. Some people say that they are redefining metal or that they are from another planet. They are breaking the walls of stereotypes in the metal scene. Several of their songs are uplifting, with a powerful and motivational message. They really shine in their live performances, so you will be asked to react to their live videos. They play (mostly) power metal but as real musicians they don’t have any limits. Their main influences are Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Angra, Helloween, Judas Priest, Dragonforce, and even Gary Moore, but they have been developing their unique style; their power ballads are amazing. The guitar duet solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined Lovebites and also took ballet classes. Hello. We did mention in this video that we thought the vocalist sang in English very good and all words were clearly understandable 😊 You should be able to turn on Japanese subtitles (not 100% sure on accuracy of the translation, but it should be fairly good). Thanks for commenting and watching.

I don't really like this video. I find 'discount Orlando Bloom' very annoying. Try some of Lovebites live stuff. Set The World on Fire, Raise some Hell, Epilogue, and Under a Blood Red Sky are good selections.
