Welcome to my new Lets Play of Banished, Mega Mod 8.1 addition!
Banished a city-building strategy game. It's the game that really started the boom in the colony building genre over the last few years. In it you control a group of exiled travelers who are forced to restart their lives in a new land. They have nothing, just the clothes on their backs and a few supplies. Your mission (if you choose to accept it), is to lead this rag tag group into brighter future....and to keep them alive. Easier said than done.

Love the lets play, just a couple of FYI's. Bridges you need to build a couple of tiles away from a road, to close blocks construction. Activating the school was a bad idea this early as it holds the workforce back a few years making you wait longer. Was about to point out reed bundler is set to corn but you picked up on it as I was typing.. lol but villagers died due to lack of clothes. you had 0 clothes but stored firewood :)

It always throws me off when my workforce in uneducated. I do see your point though! Thanks for the tips Andrew Johnson!

Yeah done the same thing myself a few times at one point in one of the videos you had 6 kids in the school but 1 labourer I was sweating.. lmao Got another for you, again not sure what video it was I've watched all of your streams this morning but it was a early one you had loads of builders to get things built but only one labourer, Builders only start building/working once the materials are transported to the site, it's better to always stick to 1-2 builders for a while so the labourers can get things to where they need to be. Love the series though, Tbh I didn't think I would find a up to date lets play for banished never mind a up to date megamod play through so Thanks, looking forward to the next upload :)

lol bannerlord is one of the reason I built mine actually. You definitely don't need one for banished though!

Yup, exactly why I just kicked up my new gaming computer. To play Banished Megamod 9.0 And it plays it like a boss. loving it!!

@@wonderwizard4935 Not if you want to play with the larger mod packs available. I could run Megamod 8.01 on my other desktop. But I had to boost the Ram, and added in a new nvideo graphics card. and it was still a slog with my quad core
you passed over the best of the best resources in the mm8 .. that is that you can actually grow iron, and stone. in a radius, and never again have random massive holes all over the place .

@@wonderwizard4935 they don't work for the way you starting this game out. but, for sure when you expand some more. Oh and don't forget, that the specialized foot lockers for coats, and tools, are just the best, use them well. lol

@@wonderwizard4935 Found those little foot lockers I was thinking about. They are CC Cellars. and take up one tile. Holds the coats and anything really. But are awesome to keep your blacksmiths and tailors working hard, cuzz they don't have to go far to drop their made goods. Love them. And leanto's are Awesom Storage for Food. 2000 Storage each, and placed at the back of each house, look wickedly cool too.
From the graphics on the screen, unless it's a new smaller building, it looks like you did not make a woodcutter to make firewood. Probably after the initial supply is gone, then the citizens start freezing a bit. However, another comment mentions you had plenty of firewood so I probably just missed seeing that building. Edit: I guess it's the guy bundling reeds that is providing the firewood burning material. Also that AlotofSeeds trader building is very likely pronounced as A Lot of Seeds so you know it's a seeds trader.

I've just started a graveyard keeper series! And I've been given a Software inc challenge, so a new series of that game will be starting soon!

I'm aware lol I just started with pressing the pin button years ago, and the muscle memory is hard to kick.
Hey man trying using your middle mouse button and scroll the camera around. It will fix the twitchy shadows
