I want to also add that she did blame her management as well for letting so much of the abuse slide. She’d tell her manager about the psyical and psychological abuse she was facing, but nothing would change. She was isolated and not even allowed social media or a personal phone for a long time. They were both couch hopping, poor, and didn’t have much for a long time. Alice we know ran away from her family. Ethan took advantage of a child who had nowhere else to go for help

That is so wrong. We were all such big fans and hadn’t the slightest idea Alice was going through such trauma when that should have been an amazing period of her life. Sad… Kath did/does look like a complete sleezeball pile of shit on someone’s couch though. He looks like the guy that helps high-schoolers obtain alcohol then wants to hang with and creep on them. Dude is gross, his music was cool but he didn’t play a single instrument unless you count preset arpeggiation maybe not even on a synth but just in pro tools or ableton or whatever was used. He more so created melody than actual structure

I have been a Crystal Castles fan since 08’ and the MySpace era. I always found it weird the age gap between the 2 and that Ethan chose such a young girl to be the vocalist. Once Alice’s statement came out, it felt so damn obvious. All the hints were there, Alice was clearly groomed.

I mean, how exactly do you prove something that was happening? Sometimes victims come fourth after they've had enough and how exactly do they prove it happened? All I know is one of their first songs is literally titled "Why do you cry when I F** You" so it must have been happening the whole time. I fully understand after the Johnny case to be sure innocent people aren't getting punished. But this comment section gives me such bad vibes, this ain't the way to go about it. Alice on the contrary has the Crystal Castles fame, the 'support' of the fans and the admiration, yet her music is still not nearly as good and successful as it was back in CC. And I was not really critizing the fact that she said that the fans should stop supporting Crystal Castles. It was more meant in a way that even though she got all the sympathy of the fans, her appeal to stop supporting the music of an alleged sex offender didn't come through. (But it still had influence on the success of Amnesty I)

It's fairly obvious that the accusation seem to be very real. Why are you bringing up innocent until proven guilty, when its fairly obvious Kath is guilty?

@@claymationgloves3662 and btw, 2% is average without interference. so this would be in alice’s case: 2% chance she is lying. the ~10% is when things like dcfs, cps, and regular police dictate who was right/wrong, that number is more common among families as false allegations are most commonly due to family disputes

There’s not enough evidence to suggest that and nor has it been proven in a court of law, and I also believe they settled their respectful lawsuits although it’s still sad to think about and even if it’s not true that she was abused it’s still weird that they were together when she was 15-16 and he was 26.

Im going to defend Etan Kath here. If no one else will i will. A lot tgings dont add up: why didnt she pursue a prosecution? Rhianna did, so did casgrove, mccurdy, and even herd even though she lied. 2ndly Ethan WENT TO COURT to defend himself for defamation. 3rdly wheres the evidence? All of this is just say so, accusations and speculations. A lot of things dont add up. Im expecting a glow up of this man. Hope he gets the justice he deserves.

Because she was 15yo when it happened; was Glass and the 4 other women -- which were all minors at the time -- supposed to walk around with kits to collect evidence of SA? Almost every dude immediatelly jumped to 𝗌im𝗉 for Ethan so you're not alone in your BS. He filed a defamation suit which was promptly dismissed by the court.
