"Untrust Us" Crystal Castles covered by Capital Children's Choir
Музыка
We wanted to cover Crystal Castles because we liked the idea of replacing their synths and percussion using only our voices and hands. Recorded at Abbey Road Studios. Soloists: Emie Nathan, KK Sohn
Choral arrangement by: Rachel Santesso
Recording engineer: Andrew Dudman

ain't sure what's more impressive. the cover itself or the school teacher that got children's choir to cover an electropunk song

The best use of child slavery I’ve ever seen in my life. I’m joking, but how did they get so many of these kids together for this? I love this so so much!

Finally someone found a good use for children
everyone say thank you algorithm for showing us this 10 years later
The ‘now now’ sound theyre making is so hypnotic bruh my autism is going to latch to that and go ‘now now now’ all day
lol that first girl's expression is priceless. "what the heck am i singing??"
such a random song to sing in a choir but its epic
‘The Algorithm’ was up late smoking and decided to throw this gift back into the fold for us all. Faith in humanity AND in our future AI overlords restored.
Save me electropunk children’s choir from 2013
What I want to know is who put them up to do crystal castles. Awesome
The girls doing the main lead did an amazing job, that part makes it or breaks it
Lmao this is getting recommended to all of us ten years later
i think this is the best video on the internet. the harmonies. the chest slapping. the dedication.

Я ментально отдаю весь свой кислород из лёгких девушке, которая всю песню не переставая говорила "now" (или "no")
love that so many of us randomly had this show up on our feeds this week
why are we all collectively only just now finding this?? 😭😭
"Alright girls, you're going to be singing the 'now' part." "Just 'now'? How many times?" "384." "Let's do this."
That one lil boy was feeling TF out of this. Y'all know who I'm talking about too. Lol. Looked like he wanted a keyboard to smash.
The blonde boy in the blue shirt is really into it and its adorable
*I CANT BELIEVE THIS WAS 10 YEARS AGO*
Imagine if Crystal Castles saw this, how nice it would be.
What a time to be alive.
i didnt think it was like. possible to make a cover of this song

2:54 get chills when they harmonize
When you look at the lyrics to the song, you can see why they aren't actually singing the original words... =)
I’m glad this was recommended to me after 10 years and even more glad I clicked on it. Amazing
this is an amazing job, they must have some kick ass teachers
This is my favorite song from Crystal Castles, I thought this would be strange hearing it from a choir but it's really amazing!

10 YEARS AGO?! Beautiful. Majestic.
such a song being played by only voices and gestures is so impressive, what and 10 years ago too, makes it even better. this feels so nostalgic especially with the song.
they need to cover crystal castles' entire discography pronto
10 years ago I was their age and listening to Crystal Castles. But only now did KZread show this to me 🤔
did algorithm just send everyone here all at once...?
i have literal chills and tears in my eyes this is so beautiful and celestial
"More than 80 children from London were being hospitalised from mysterious chest pain"
i have been a crystal castles fan and online for so many years how is this the first time i am seeing this , THIS IS INCREDIBLEEE.
Glad this is going viral again, this cover is my roman empire
THE FACT THIS IS 10 YEARS OLD DANG
Idk why KZread is suddenly recommending a 10 year old video but as a crystal castles fan I love it
I usually hate covers, but this is... this is just way too awesome.
So everyone just decide to gather around and watch this today?
holy smoke this was an experience to hear i love human unity they could be really bright and creative i love that
this brings me so much emotion.. never heard anybody cover crystal castles so perfectly!!!
What is with YT and not recommending stuff to everyone until 10 years later
the fact that this was vocally arranged brings the synth to life! it is so magical, i've got goosebumps!
I honestly like this even more than the original. Such a haunting rendition. These kids are talented!
i wonder where these people are now...
Wow…that weird feeling where you feel flushed or numb around your face and neck and you feel a little dizzy…I think this is the most intensely I’ve ever felt this! Very beautiful, remarkable job.
This needs to play in a sci fi film…. Any film. Holy shit. Thank you algorithm! Amazing.
We watched this in my college acappella group when it first came out and performed our own version. It was nowhere near as incredible as this.
Can’t believe it’s 10 years ago…
Im surpried this got in my recommendation after 10 years. I cant even believe they used their voices for most of the beats mostly
Whoever came up with this idea is a legend
It sounds like lost innocence or the forgotten whispers of a bygone Era that the longer time goes by the louder the echoes reverberate like coming back to a trauma u thought u conquered but your realize things are very much in fact. Not alright
3:03 the way the harmonize it’s crazy
I was obsessed with this cover 10 years ago when I was 14, and now youtube recommended me this masterpiece again :D
Oh yeah. A CHOIR TEACHER did this, alright! One of my favorite flavors of nerd right here. A choir geek can present you an a capella cover of the last song you'd ever think to sing without instruments and your immeate thought would be "please, don't do *that* to THIS!" Somehow when you hear the cover they found specifically, it's actually super cool. You're a person that definitely doesn't casually seek and enjoy a capella covers and usually turn away from them, but they nail it every time and it sorta makes you want to "get into" a capella after you hear a recommendation but you never have that knack for finding the songs that have that something. Anyway, love you choir nerds! Little human observation rant over ☺️
Epic song. Not easy to make this. Great job for the kids, they did this flawlessly.
"I made it on an old PC Text to Talk program that had an option for a singing spanish boy. The tune he sings was automatic." - Sebastien Grainger on the vocals in the REAL original song, "Dead Womb" by Death from Above (1979).
when the girls started singing the words around 0:50 gave me chills, but like the whole is just so good
It's been years and I keep coming back here. How this doesn't have 100mil views is beyond me
And imagine these kids that are 10 years older now, finding this and feeling so pround that they did this and they should be so grateful to their teacher
crying screaming throwing up this is amazing
Even more haunting than the original.
i love how youtube is recommending this to us all at the same time
That teacher deserves a standing ovation for this 👏
i love how this is popping up on all of our timelines... after 10 years. Thanks YT God!
this lowkey fire
I miss choir so much because of the feeling of it all coming together when everyone sings their part, it’s beautiful.
Was senior year of high school when I first saw this. 10 years later at 28 and I still think of these kids, this amazing video and talented kids. AWESOME.

I'm in a similar situation as well! It's incredible how fast time passes by. Hope life's been treating you well these past 10 years :)
I love that the algorithm seems to have brought this back up for a lot of people. It's so damn good. I used to get this song stuck in my head - and now I get this VERSION stuck in my head and I find that pretty funny. So good.
I have been listening to crystal castles since I was in middle school (I am 25 now 😔) and i had never even imagined this could be possible to do and it was done a decade ago?? So impressive, just wow
The algorithm brings me back to this masterpiece. I've cried 6 years ago to this, and I'm crying again .
Their music teacher is soooo cool, loads of respect to them x
This is a great cover, I just wish they had went with original lyrics, understandable seeing as it is a childrens choir. Well done!
This is crazy cool. A electropunk song covered by only voice and hands. That’s crazy talent.
this gave me goosebumps. thank you algorithm.
Dude this is so badass
This cover is so good that there are days I seriously prefer it over the original
I love this came out 10 years ago and everyone is just seeing it now 😭
THE GIRLS SINGING HAVE MY HEART
I’m so confused how this came to be… like, most Crystal castles content on KZread is very low views or doesn’t really have production value, but this is actually so advanced?? Like… how: 1. Does Someone who runs a choir even discover, like, and listen to CC - enough to suggest it. (Ngl Normally choirs do the most boring pop songs lol so this is great) 2. Has a choir big enough and serious enough to actually make a good cover? 3. Has enough budget to have this boujee video? 4. Execute it so well? 5. And I only find out about it now?!? Major slay
This is what choir was meant for
amazing how people still find this
The teacher had a vision and use their power for good
i am consistently moved by the power of the human voice!!
THSES COMMENTS ARE SO FRESH💀
the algorithm worked its magic once again for us all
I am just now finding this video and that song... 10 years later??!! THIS MADE ME TEAR UP!
Listening to this changed the operation of my brain.
