The talent level coming out of Japan right now with these all female bands is insane. And everyone have multi-instrumentalist. Fami, only 20, but she's mastered the bass, piano, guitar, sings amazingly well and is a excellent composer. The talent in this band would take forever to list it all. I saw Band-Maid perform in Dallas. Those ladies killed it. And got teary eyed when they saw the crowds reaction to them. I cant wait to see Lovebites. Seeing Nemophilla in Austin in a couple months. I'm 59. I haven't been this excited about new music in 20 or 30 years.

When Lovebites was formed in 2016, an experienced metal keyboardist/composer was brought in (probably by Miho) to assist with songwriting. Asami and Midori have worked with him on all of their songs. Miho worked with him on all but one of her songs, the exception being Break the Wall which was a Miho and Miyako collaboration. Miyako has not worked with Mao and, with only two exceptions, composes alone. The first Asami/Mao song, Epilogue, was the last track on Lovebites' second full length album, Clockwork Immortality. Their second song, A Frozen Serenade, is on the album Electric Pentagram and they have two songs on the EP Glory, Glory To The World. My feeling is that Asami has gradually taken the lead in these compositions. Judgment Day is the 5th Asami/Mao collaboration and I believe that Asami's vocals are so amazing because Asami now knows how to write metal songs that take full advantage of her voice. As has been mentioned, a new single called Dissonance has been released and it is also an Asami/Mao composition. It is such a strong song that I can't decide which of the two I like better. Lovebites has now released 3 songs from their upcoming album and the 2 Asami/Mao songs are as good as anything Lovebites has released.

I make this statement on a reaction channel at least once a day, but Lovebites are the best five musicians in one band to ever set foot on a stage. Yes, I said ever.

Fami is 20 yrs, the others are +30 yrs. Did you get your close attention at Fami's incredible bass lines during the guitar solos? That is the most badass bass playing i've ever heard during a metal song. Fami not only highlights the guitar solos, she does her own incredible part of playing those bass lines. Fami is a monster on that 5 string.

When I hear the solo in this song I always listen to the bass, what she is playing sounds so cool. Slapping the shit out of it at some points which is unheard of in metal songs

You did it again, Bob, nailed another Lovebites reaction! They are certainly prodigies, and so glad you gave Haruna all that love. She is so underrated as a metal drummer! I know size shouldn't matter, but c'mon, she's 4' 9" and does this pace 90-120mins straight at their shows. It's insane, truly the Thunder Goddess / little BIG engine (her most common nicknames). Fami is fitting in magnificently. Midori & Miyako firing on all cylinders, no surprise there. Asami, the one and only voice booming in this one. Pls consider doing Empty Daydream live next kzread.info/dash/bejne/noycwdeGfZyamrg.html. If I'm not mistaken, the intro was an improv (of course, it involves Miyako), great backing vocals and believe Miyako sings the high notes (someone will correct me if I'm wrong). I listened to this song thr whole time during my arm day in the gym yesterday. Just had it in loop. So good. Great workout song too.

It's going to be so cool to watch the young wolf cub, Fami, grow into this band and become a fully fledged 'White Wolf'. Her signature custom 'Bacchus' woodline bass sounds so good.

I’m telling you that I totally agree with you. They are always playing some wicked runs and rhythms and it seemed like they are outdoing each other all of the time.

I really enjoyed this reaction. As usual. Thank you. The song is definitely one of their best, but there is so much going on it's impossible to take it all in with just one listening session. Just trying to pay attention to one of the instruments basically takes up your entire attention bandwidth. But that to me is a mark of good music - it takes multiple listenings to really appreciate the whole thing.

I agree with you Even. It does take more than one listen for good music. And good music makes you want to listen again and again and again. I had this one in loop while I did my arm workout yesterday. It’s thr perfect workout song.

They have released 3 new songs from the new album Judgement Day and so far so good, the 3 songs are composed by Mao and co-composed with Asami which is amazing I personally prefer Miyako's compositions and I am sure they are leaving the best for last. So I patiently wait for the release of the full album which is 20 days away.

When I first heard this song I couldn't believe what I was hearing, best metal song I've heard in a very long time. Listened to it well over 100 times now. Then I heard their new song dissonance they just released and all I can say is, my god... They just keep getting better it's almost frightening. But in a good way.

I liked your analysis that it sounds like Fami has been with the band forever. When Lovebites first hit the scene, I always felt like Miyako and Midori sounded like they had been playing together for twenty years, especially when they do their dual leads. So Intune with each other.

I had been waiting for you to react to this as I knew you would love it. Fami is a great addition to the band and her unique style of playing fits well. And Haruna can get even more creative to match with Fami. I have to admit, Haruna is my drum set crush lol! And not much else can be said about what phenoms Midori and Miyako are. And of course there are Asami’s soaring vocals. Can’t wait to hear other surprises they have in store for us.

I think the layoff plus addition of Fami has done them a power of good. They have come out blazing. Midori just from the Gym😊 looking awesome. Haruna all 4'8 hight of hers is absolutely phenomenal. Every member of this group is a sublime artist. ❤❤❤❤❤❤. Just a question, how many flies did you catch sitting with mouth open in awe😊. The other thing I would like to say is Myako and Midori I am convinced are the best tandem guitarists I have heard. Both are amazing but together they are not from this world. I am 72 years old and have been listening to all types of music since1966. These ladies are up there with the best no question.

Brilliant reaction as always! I know you don't need my confirmation or whatever, but everything you said was spot on. I love Fami's tapping and slapping in this; what a way to make her *_real_* debut. She's from this new style of super talented bass guitarists that includes MISA of BAND-MAID, Yu-ki of Paranoid Void, and Miyu of Asterism where they just do things that scrubs like me wouldn't have thought to do, at least not in any one given song. Aaaaand that brings me to my recommendations. Check out "null" by Paranoid Void and "Church" by Asterism. They're both highly-skilled instrumental trios with vastly-different styles, but I think you'll enjoy them both and have your mind blown yet again.

Great reaction to a great band performing a great song. They must put in a vast amount of hours to be this tight. @@bobcieslinski I second the recommendation for Liar. It is one of the first songs composed by Miyako for Lovebites, although she may have written it before officially joining Lovebites. Miyako was in another band while she was acting as a support guitarist for Lovebites.

Great reaction. They released two more songs after this one, The Spirit Lives on kzread.info/dash/bejne/rJ6EuJuRopTHZ8o.html and Dissonance kzread.info/dash/bejne/nJyWsq6Sh9y8pqw.html. They both are audio tracks. Try them if you don't mind extraordinarily fast and intense sound. Haruna plays just impossible, she just does unreal drumming on these.

Actually Midori and Miyako are late starters as far as guitar is concerned (about 19 or 20). If you're interested in checking out a band that could be considered prodigies then Asterism might interest you. Two brothers Miyu (bass, often a 7-string one) and Mio (drums), and the awesome female guitarist Hal-Ca. They've only just passed 20 now, but some of their videos go back as far as when they were 12. They were spotted in a video by bassist Bootsy Collins, and on the strength of that both he and Buckethead made appearances on their first album (Ignition). I feel the same way Keith. I enjoy working out and I appreciate what she had to do. She is actually competing in bodybuilding shows now. Man she is so talented.

I would like to hear Lovebites singing a couple of songs in Japanese (anyway I don't understand Asami's Japenglish).

the shredder is shredded in this video no wonder she has done well in her bodybuilding competitions those guns are cut. and there is just no comparison of these musicians in U.S. right now our music scene has just gone downhill ran by out of touch executives in the industry. Miyako learns from Midori during the hiatus she really concentrated on getting even faster and cleaner and she accomplished that ten fold

Totally agree with you Brad about Midori. Wow she looks amazing! And plays solos like the beast she is. Wow! They are amazing and are world class musicians. I hope to see them one day.
