►A LITTLE ABOUT ME: I'm Dean Wolfe, a mostly self-taught Canadian guitarist/composer/multi-instrumentalist/singer/producer/performer. I started out as a full time musician, on the road at age 17-19, then went part-time ever since, holding 'day-careers' like chef (red seal papers), spiritual health care while raising a family. As a producer I've made hundreds of my own songs for media and award winning documentaries etc. I've been in several bands including a prog/jazz fusion act nFuze, playing International Jazz festivals and jazz clubs. I like to explore grunge, pop rock and alternative, alt-folk / acoustic fingerstyle guitar, ambient electronic and classical as well. Recently i 'discovered' shoegaze and lo-fi. I have a home studio that is ramping up for lots more music so stay tuned.

I was the same way, Saiki's singing took me awhile to warm up to. Now she has become my 2d favorite member. Seeing her sing live (in person) was also a game changer for me

I was the same, seeing her live totally changed my view on her, and It was more than the fact that she sounded great. It felt like she looked directly at me, and a ton of other people I talked to said the same thing. She has an ability to connect on stage; really they all do. That comes from playing live, in clubs and small venues, learning how to build rapport. It's what makes them special to me. To me rock and roll in the 70's and 80's was alive in smaller venues, closed in, sweaty and live. They remind me of that time.

The song was co written with Mike Einziger of Incubus. They met at a US festival and just hit it off. In a fan cam you can see Mike at the side of the stage when The Maids were performing. The story is he was looking for milk backstage and The Maids showed him where to find it. They just became Besties and Mikey San joined them on stage for this song when Band Maid supported Incubus at their concert in Tokyo. He came on and hugged each member of the band before performing. This wasn't a management invention but a genuine collaboration.

Excellent summary!. My favourite parts are the bridge (with the amazing vocals getting into the solo ) and of course the beautiful (and very Einziger) intro and outro riff.

I never didn't like her voice, but it took me a while to "notice" just how wonderful her voice is - because the instrumental parts were blowing my mind! Now they still do, and so does Saiki! And live? She is a commanding force and just sucks you in so you have to almost tear yourself away from her to pay attention to someone else.

I always loved Saiki's voice, but she did go through a rough patch many years back when she developed polyps on her vocal chords and had to go in for surgery (2017). The rehab was gradual, but now she has really reached peak vocal form. She works with a vocal coach and keeps in good physical condition.

TO ALL, A QUESTION: Now that we're counting down to the Two Titans of Rock sharing the stage together June 12, what, if any, song(s) do you think they will partake in together? Will The Sisters join the Maids for a B-M song, or will the Maids join The Sisters set for a Warning song? AND if so, what song(s) will they do together? Love to know your thoughts....
