they do not realize how to get there moneys worth my buddy showed me awhile back you keep the cast net even when it’s used up cut the outer string use it for a poly stringer and keep all the weights so when you wanna make your own cast net or utilize them as sinkers and then i dispose of the net itself there’s times i choose to go for a dip when i get snagged with my cast net and i’ll fetch it out there’s times i go fishing and when i see my glory hole spots trashed i’ll end up having a cleaning day and come back for my fishing day anyways glad your ok from getting shot at man keep up the good work on the vids!!

Florida has efforts to eat them and recipes to offset the invasiveness. Says taste like lobster. I grew me pleco for 6 years that size not knowing it was invasive. But I love my toothless :) can hand feed with her upside down. Very friendly very smart fish.

Ouch! 😅😢 i only laugh because the same sh*t happened to me TWICE at Bolivar night fishing for flounder 😭. First time fell in between rocks and busted my hand on the way down and 2nd time I tripped over a rock landed on my hands and busted my knee super bad. Hurt for weeks but both times i injured myself and still kept fishing! Crazy things we do to catch fish. 🤷🤦

Armored catfish are an invasive species from South America that were introduced to the U.S. through the pet trade. They are extremely prolific and have few natural predators here (their primary predators in South America are giant river otters and giant freshwater rays).

Having said that, I have a question: why did you throw the armored catfish back? You didn't have to dispose of it on video, but the rationale of "one fish won't make a difference" doesn't fly if you're a conservationist. Now, I can TOTALLY appreciate your disdain for trash, but when the second armored catfish fell through the net (with an obvious hole in it), we didn't see you throw it back. I can only hope that you disposed of it humanely rather than throwing it back to reproduce and cause problems for the environment. Hope your knee is okay. I fell on a homemade wood bridge years ago and did some damage that bothered me for a long time. Many years ago there was privately owned places that i used to fish, along with some other people until somebody left their trash laying on the bank and the owner cut all fishing out. Don't take but one sob to mess things up for everyone else. That's just lazy assholes leaving their shit laying around and not packing it out with them! Anywho, yeah at my age, a spill like that would've messed me up good, I'd be stuck right there unless someone found me or i crawled out, I've got bad knees, bad back, bad hips, bad ankles, all the stuff I did when I was younger has come back to haunt me now, you know? And I've got arthritis in all those places I mentioned to. Bummer, big bummer! Anyways, have a Merry Christmas bud, you and yours 🎄

I highly recommend magnesium citrate powder. If your muscles and ligaments get really tight from time to time, especially at night, it can really help them relax at night. My wife's worked in the vitamin departments of Whole Foods and HEB for 20 years. Life after 33 is a downhill decline 😅

I'll look into it but I'm actually extremely flexible and relaxed. I've injured the knee multiple times doing Muay Thai, so there's a lot of pre-existing damage that finally caught up with me

Hi Payton, I’m 60 years old and had a knee replacement surgery two rears ago. It pretty much sucked and set me back a year. I’m not sure if you had your knees checked by a specialist recently, but injuries like you described when I was younger lead to my knee not too long ago. If you could get any orthopedic or corrective surgery now it will help you in the long run. Please take care and stay safe.

It's just that they don't have the same natural predators to keep them in check here as they do in South America.

I have at lease 3 new old nets. People are pigs.. it's 0.5 percent. The rest are very clean and catch and release .

I have to disagree with you there. The overwhelming majority of people couldn't care less about the environment or wildlife. I come frome the conservation industry, so this isn't me guessing. Confronting this reality was my profession and I promise you it's worse than you think.
