Character also means personality trait. So Omar has a "character". Like when a kid who never gets in trouble gets in a fight, people might say "that was out of character for him". char·ac·ter /ˈkerəktər/ 1. the mental and moral qualities distinctive to an individual. "running away was not in keeping with her character"
