Balance both Beaters - Double Bass Drum Speed Pedal Settings

Музыка

1. Get beaters to same position and angle 2. Set ideal spring tension for right pedal 3. Set same tension for left pedal 4. Decrease by 1/2 turns on left and test until you get 4-8 swings from both beaters that are similar. Hope this video helps you get an easier to play double bass pedal from having more even pedal settings.

You're welcome, but this video ain't complete too. Just to complete it, even if I'm using full tension, I don't think beginners should use full max tension from the beginning. Do something like progressively tightening your springs every month, until you get to the ideal tension you need for your playing after 6months. And also I have a dw5000 pedal. My spring is going to be different from yours. For example a pearl demon drive or tama iron cobra has a stiffer spring so max tension on them is much heavier than max tension on my dw5000. But generally if you have a more budget line pedal, they have lighter springs so max tension is going to be slightly looser than my dw5000. Hope that helps even more!

ACD Unlimited is a small company that makes many upgrades for many different pedals, driveshafts are one. Those DW machine drives aren't nearly as smooth as a Trick, Czarcie Kopyto, ACD Unlimited Darwins, or even Pearl Demon drives for example. All of those have better balk bearing driveshafts that don't need as much maintenance.

Cymbals can be bought for good prices if you buy used off the classified. And real cymbals, the ones that don't crack, never age. I have a DW 5000 double pedal as well. Spring tension maxed out like yours. Your right pedal swings for days! Mine is like it’s stuck in sand. I checked the bearings and found the outer bearing (7/8”) barely spun while the smaller, inner bearing (3/4”) spins freely. Cleaned the bearings, not much difference. 😂 lol. Found out from my followers the ACD or the trick shaft works wonders, so maybe I'm gonna get those and see how they do with my dws

Why are my 400$ speed cobras waaaaaay better than those 1400$ DWs? It has nearly perfectly equal swings, with the heads competing the same number of oscillations.
