Beautiful place…interesting how there are commenters that don’t want these types of places being shown on social media because they don’t want people other than themselves to be able to go there…very selfish of them. I will probably never go there, even though I have the ways and means to, it’s cool to see it. I suspect the person in the truck tearing up the hill on the way out did it on purpose to make the road more difficult to drive on and deter people from going there. The haters need to understand that this is how social media works, people from all over the world show the rest of us all of the beautiful places this planet has to offer. Keep on keeping on.

Yes, It's very interesting. I've had the same person ask me for a location to a spot then complain when I share it with someone else. I do feel like their hart is in the right place in protecting sensitive spots. I do appreciate that. Below is my response to these comments. I appreciate this perspective, and I do think about this a lot. There are many sensitive places that I don't mention at all. Baja is full of secret spots that only the curious, persistent explorer will discover. I don't post about these places, not even as an undisclosed picture on Instagram. I have criteria for spots I'm willing to share in videos. And while Agua Verde is excellent, it's been far from a secret for a very long time. It's well documented on iOverlander and in many other sites/videos. Its location & approach road keep 90% of the casual people away. You may disagree with this statement, and that is okay. But please know that I do put a lot of thought into the consequences of a video and how it may affect the environment and or future access. Thanks for your comment and care for the places we all love.

So beautiful! I just watched your video from last year when you went to this destination and it inspired me (even with the shelf roads you described, lol) Baja has been on my bucket list for a while now. I've pinned Agua Verde on my Gaia GPS, now I just gotta convince my husband that it's safe to travel in Baja!

Hi Renee, yes, that’s the hardest part. We Americans are so scared of the southern border. We were too. But Baja is a really wonderful place and dare I say, safe too. We don’t know of anyone who has had a first hand scary moment in Baja. Just follow the basic travel rules and you will have an amazing trip.

Question? With a single lane road in and out, what happens when someone is leaving as you’re arriving?

I’m glad you like it! It is a great place. When driving any narrow road but especially shelf roads like this it’s important to be scanning ahead, looking for other vehicles. You can often see the dust plumes coming up better than the actual cars. But there are wide spots where you can wait for an approaching car and let it pass.

Beautiful! Love the underwater footage and all the tips! Do I see a roof tent in the background? The kids do not want to go to Baja until they have "four Walls" around them.

Thanks Hannah, Yes, Baja is loaded with roof top tents. It's a really great climate for a RTT and makes a lot of sense down there. I'd say go for it. If they pulled off Florida, Baja will be a breeze for a RTT.

Very nice place. Roads seems bad, though. I have a 4x4 170 Sprinter, what i hate most are the roads with side incline. Would you know the max slope angle before tipping over with such heavy and high vehicle. Thanks and enjoy the road

The road to Agua Verde is a little rough and narrow but generally not too off camber. The tiping point would vary depending uppon many factors like how the cargo wieight in your van is distributed. Generally they are much more stable than they look. But you dont want to cross that line and learn the hard way. Thanks for watching!

Do it. We spent 2 months there with our 13 year old shepherd and he spent the last few Months of his life living his BEST life in Baja. Great for dogs. Just bring boots for their feet. Lots of cactus, thorns, heat, etc.

I think Baja is great for dogs. We were concerned with the many feral dogs, but found them to be very friendly and well behaved. I also agree with @brianandmarisha409 booties can be a great idea.
