That's amazing you were able to recover your hat! We love the campgrounds you are showcasing on this journey, such a great exhibition of adventure, patience and experience. Have you encountered any aggressive police or border stops so far?

I subscribed just to see how many times you get robbed or extorted by police driving a quarter million dollar camper through Central and South America.

We are in our van in Colombia and nothing but kind helpful people and officials. The stupid stereotypes keep on flowing.

@@conchscooterthere are endless KZreadrs posting videos of police in Mexico stopping them for bribes. Then there was the Swiss family camping in the Mercedes van in Peru who had the local village show up and steal everything in their vehicle while they watched.

We have had zero extortion or robbery attempts from anyone including police. We even had a person chase us across a parking lot with $20 change we forgot to get from a store. We have had nothing but great experiences so far in Mexico or Central America.
