BAIKAL LAKE, SIBERIA 2020: Road Trip Ulan Ude - Irkutsk | Russian MUST SEE PLACE
In August 2020, one of my dreams finally came true - I visited the deepest lake in the world - lake Baikal. It is located in Siberia and a must-visit place in Russia. This road trip will always remain in my memories as one of the best and most beautiful in my life!
For a week I travelled around the lake Baikal with a group of amazing people, starting from Ulan Ude, where I visited several Buddhist temples. We hiked to the mountains with a local where we saw incredible views and real Russian taiga. We travelled to Irkutsk and went to explore the largest island of the lake - Olkhon Island.
In this video I told you a lot of interesting and useful information, and showed you stunning views of this unique place in Russia!

What an amazing looking place! Even though really cold, I'm glad you were brave enough to try a quick swim. You can now say you swam in the deepest lake in the world! :-) How many people can say that!?

Great Job, I like your videos.
I’ve been just East of Lake Baikal on a flight from Chicago to Hong Kong, Lake Baikal was beautiful from the sky. After seeing your video, I hope I can visit Lake Baikal at ground level and enjoy its magnificent beauty.
Very interesting. I have never seen pictures of this part of Russia before. Excellent videography.

I loved this video! The zen-like serenity of the forest was amazing. You would love some of the national parks in the UK like Snowdonia, Peak District, Lake District, North Yorkshire Moors, Dartmoor.
Beautiful lake I'd like to visit

Did you hear about the “babushka” still ice skating on the lake Baikal, In winter time?. She survives there on her own, very inspiring. Thanks for this nice video tour, made me feel wondering around those beautiful places myself haha. Russia have incredibly beautiful nature itself!

Spasiba for this great video. İ am very curious about Siberia and watch clips on Altai and Sakha and Vladivostok and Baikal is amazing and very significant for ancient history the time of Mammooth hunters in İçe Age. You made a great video of the forest and the lake.

Very happy for your travels to a place you've long wanted to see. I lived just the other side of the Olympics from the place that Twilight was filmed, and where you are reminds me much of Washington State where I lived for a while. Have wanted to see Lake Baikal for ages, but its so far into the interior that it would take a long time to visit there. Please take very good care of yourself.
Thanks for your video. I really enjoyed it. I live in the US. Yes Washington State, US has forests like the ones you walked through on your trip. So does Oregon, US. The coast of Olkhon Island reminds me of the California coastline.

the twilight movies were filmed in british columbia, canada where i live actually! and спасибо i came to your channel from Vika, loving the content!

Awesome video ! It reminds me my own souvenirs of my Transsiberian trip 3 years ago)) was there on October. I remember also about garbage around the roads, pretty sad vision :/ but the amazing nature definitely wort the trip ! My ultimate trip is to come back on february-march and to skate on frozen Baïkal lake :D

Its great to see Buryatia & I want to visit & see for myself because Ancestry DNA test says my ancient ancesters come from there!!!! They migrated over 1000s years to as far as Greenland.........
you are right it is like Washington state, Olympic national park. My home state
You are right. The Northwest rainforest in Washington state, British Columbia, and Southern Alaska 😊

You are right, the scenery does look a lot like the coastal region of Washington State. It also looks similar the coast from Northern California to Southern Alaska. I hope you are able to visit someday.

My dream
Very beautiful ! Washington state is known for its forests and climate like you were in. Also, the Appalachian Trail provides for beautiful sites like the ones you are looking for. You should try to do the trail sometime, it would take you several months but you’d go through numerous states.

Thanks for sharing this experience it reminds me of the Pacific Northwest like you said but far more vast I like tent camping but it requires a lot of expensive gear and now here at least in the states it's lot more to bring on the plane or bus even so ya be better to just get a room it way cheaper there for that but the transportation is bout the same as here
Solo cool because your video I was more motivated to go there...I was it was nice...itomorrow I will leave Russia, thank you for your very helpful videos

Very nice film making! A lot of nice work. And for a very small audience a year ago. I agree the nature reminds me of Washington and Oregon, and also of here in New Zealand. I was shocked by the NZ Pies in Irkutsk!!! I took some screenshots and will send to a friend here in NZ who is from Irkutsk/Baikal region and still visits every summer (at least before COVID). The other thing that shocked me was the Vincent Price words from "The Last Man on Earth". Did you add that, or it was somehow playing on the street? ("I don't deny that there's some strange evolutionary process going on. But mankind won't be destroyed. The fact that you and I are working here today is evidence of that")
Nice. Thanks for the info. Going to Ulan Ude in a couple of weeks. What's your top suggestion for food?
Very beautiful there. You will get me to visit Russia yet.
Catching up late but fantastic as always.. I always wanna visit this place and that's so interesting to know they follow Buddhism ❤️ No sleep all week? Really?😁

D ari, it was a very wonderful tour you showed us. Is it true that Lake Bakail was frozen and had melted? I believe i read about it in many articles from Russia. Can you say for sure?. You did well not crossing the shamans poles and boundaries. All around wonderful trip. Than you so much for your info. 🙂

I think you are not a spiritual a person or do you? But your pet line is “OH MY GOD” with quite smiley face. It looks magical and natural . Thanks!
I love this video especially when juxtaposed against Moscow video. I love the city but I also love the country. I love the land but I also like the water. I love the sophistication of the city but also the simplicity of the country. The city is great but so is the island. My only concern is how would I get around in the countryside?

Buryats are primitive Mongolians and they're the Proto-Type of all Mongols like the Halh and Southern Mongolians, Various Oirats and even one of the last: the Kalmyks.
I m deeply in love with your smile. I wants to meet you as soon as possible . 🙂 . I know its hard but nothing is impossible.
