Here I returned to my hometown, Moscow. The main reason was to see my family and friends whom I haven't seen for a year due to my studies in NYC, as well as to apply for a new visa. In this video, I'll talk about how my summer in Russia went, show a trip to my country house, share what's currently happening in Moscow, and my thoughts on moving back 🙌

Lovely video. I've seen Moscow from other angels and this was new to me. Moscow is a beautiful city. You even showed us that you can do hard labour with mowing the grass at the dacha. I honestly thought you'll have your passport on Monday! Lucky is so lucky to be in a lovely family - he is beautiful!

Dari, I agree with your feelings about Moscow. Where you ultimately want to live though comes down to two things: budget and quality of life. Finding it that balances both of your requirements isn’t easy. New York gives you everything you want but its expensive. I won’t insult you that you should live some place cheap but more realistically, I think it should be a balance between what your needs/wants are and affordability. A city abroad like Moscow that has it, would make you happy! Best wishes. 😊

$120 (or $700 in US) for hair... What a wealthy rich person. More than so many fellow human beings earn in a week.
Props for mowing all that grass. I have a corner of my yard that still looks like that -- it's been so dry where we are, I'm afraid to cut it. Good to see Lucky, and I hope by now you have some idea what's going on with your visa. Take care! 👍
Hi, I think I’ll spend a full day or more just enjoying your metro system both above and below ground from everything positive you have described about it! I always marveled about it before and now even more. Sometimes, experiencing other countries makes you appreciate home more and each country has a beauty of its own. Thank you for putting Lucky in this video. Nice to see him so vibrant. And finally, Dasha, I need your help mowing my lawn! aha. I bought a new riding mower last year and it broke after 2 uses and has been in the repair shop for 3 months so far this year … and lastly, omg, nothing beats the Bolshoi theater. I want to see it live one day after all these years watching events at my local cinemas

Good video showing your visit. You give the wrong impression that from NYC, you cant find clountry side. You are driving tlhree hours. For three hour drive you could go to Catkill Mountlains and even places closer for scenic views, countryside and fresh air. People own cabins, cottages or even small 2nd house. Or you can rent cabins, get camp site. USA didnt have the dacha system. During USSR, pepple got dashas. Some built small shacks, some just gardened. Now, you have to buy the dasha and land. Usually abandoned for years, the descendents of first owners are selling. People can afford vacations, flying overseas. Without food shortages of the past, not many people want gardens to grow vegetables and fruit.
Thanks ❣️🥇

Very enjoyable trip to the countryside. But wow, the height of that grass! Never though we'd see you cutting grass in a video. Good effort though. Still hoping for the best with your visas.

Many people from small towns in Russia want to relocate to Moscow because they want to make more money. Moscow has the best jobs, health care, quality of life, and it is developing constantly. The rest of the country is crumbling. The big difference between the US and Russia is that each state has their own laws and one can have many possibilities at home and the taxes are used for the needs of people who live there. In Russia everything is centralised. Moscow sucks up the resources from all the areas in the country. They work hard and constantly pay dues to Moscow so big people in Moscow can have the best of everything .

Welcome back dari❤...how you are feeling now back to Moscow....
I was in St.Petersburg decades ago. I can tell the Russian cuisine has improved. If it wasn't for the caviar, white bread and tea, I am sure we'd starve during the stay. Our group went to the Bolsjoi ballet but some of us wasn't interested in watching The Swan Sea. We were too young and ignorant, which is the young people's priviledge. I do not know much about ballet but I do know one, which I adore. I've seen on KZread only. That is Petrushka by Igor Stravinsky. I'd say Petrushka is an intruduction to ballet for ignorants like me. Petrushka is more like a trad drama piece. It is an absolute adorable ballet. How the dancers can turn into dolls and rag dolls, I don't know.
