Could you recommend some adults-only resorts in Punta Cana for a 40th birthday celebration for people who like a mixture of partying but also enjoy peace and quite? I’ve looked at Excellence El Carmen but wondering if there are other options out there. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi there! It's not necessary adults only but RIU Palace Bavaro had a pretty lively night life and pool party area. That's the best resort we've been to in Punta Cana personally speaking. I'm not into partying myself but I do remember that one being lively.

Sure thing and happy to help! Of the three Dominican and 1 Mexican resort we've stayed at (2 Paradisus, 1 Bahia Principe and 1 RIU) RIU is our favorite so far. Enjoy the birthday celebration and safe travels!

It had some good and some less than good but for the money we paid, it was fine. Pool area was great, rooms were not bad, but noise levels from workers and such were unacceptable. I still need to write my full review on my site, but be on the lookout for it.
Is this by Bavaro beach?

Yes, it's not far. My wife and I actually took a 30 minute walk down the beach to RIU Palace Bavaro one evening.
How much was it for 2 people if you don’t mind me asking?
