I wondered what was causing the smoke. I knew it wouldn't have been an injector problem because being the case of a diesel it would've been blowing dark grey or black smoke if it was an injector problem. Turbo seal aye. The cops would've had a field day with that car if they happened to come across it. Willie Nelson and his friend Merl's cigarette smoking would've produced that much smoke. I honestly thought that car was kind of on fire.

The runaway diesel scenario also explains why it keep smoking after it stopped, though it could be because driver was too stupid to realise they needed to turn the ignition completely off. I do favour the first but can't discount the second given the level of awareness, ie none, that drivers these days seem to exhibit.

@@gandalf501 If the sump oil fuel is squirting into the intake manifold it means the engine keeps running after the ignition is switched off. Remember diesels only need air and fuel....the compression ignites the fuel. Air comes in via the air cleaner and intake. To stop this type of runaway engine you need to choke off the air with a solid board across an air intake...while leaning over an engine that is maxing out on revs and could grenade at any second. If it's the exhaust seal side on the turbo..... switching off the engine will stop the smoke being blown out the exhaust.

Thats one of the better drivers around Wyndham....I wonder if car captured in Werribee 1.03 on here took at the safety fencing after this clip same section of road out front of school.

Got some interesting ones here Scotty. Sbtf is certainly a mystery. Nice to hear the Victoria bitter beer tune again. That smoking BMW X5 has got me stumped. That is a genuine hazard. More smoke puffs than what you would see on an old episode of Thomas and Friends. Yes i know its a kids show and i myself used to watch it when I was a kid but that's the most PG comparison i could come up with. A funny comparison anyhow. Nice classics at the end. Nice old Citroen 2CV. Not the prettiest car nor is it as glamorous as a Pablo Picasso sculpture but its a car that was very much a class of its own. P.S, I'm still chuckling over the smoking BMW X5.

The car in front was over the stop line if you look. Meaning it didn't have time to stop it was a warning yellow, should have continued through.... However your comment makes sense, it seems he is driving to close in an automatic boat..

If you mean the clip at 2:17, it’s not filtering as the road markings indicate there are two lanes (3m/9m broken line divider) and the scooter rider isn’t edge filtering because they aren’t passing between parked vehicles and another vehicle in the same lane they’re riding in.
