Where I lived most of my school life there was an old folks home just down the road from our local shops and there was this one Old gent us 'local kids' referred to as "Mr Magoo". He would regularly drive his old Kingswood up to the shops rather than walk. Old mate could barely see over the steering wheel.

High Beam Lights and Kangaroo's. One of the things u learn when driving trucks. Kangaroo's are blinded by high beam lights, as soon as you see a kangaroo (time and safety), dip your lights to low beam. The kangaroo can then see the dark area and immediately goes in that direction. On high beam, they can only see bright lights. And often will continue down the road away from lights, as it can't see anything else. When the first car goes past, with high beam, kangaroo is blinded and continues down road. As soon as it goes past, and cam car is on low beam, it immediately turns right into the shadow/dark, and leaves the road. If it's safe and time, try it next time. U can usually still see the outline in the shadows on low beam, but flick back to high quickly to check. It gives the vision back to the kangaroo and allows it to find the quickest path away from the lights. Also works if they are on the side of the road. If u can, low beam, keep an eye on the outline, staying on low beam, they may not move, or move further off the road. High beam will blind them and most certainly spook them onto the road. Safety and time being the first things though of course.

My Dad did too & then he upgraded to the Holden Caprice. It was rather fancy with the electric windows. My friends called it the Limo 😂😂

My car was delivered with front and rear cams - Blackview DR750X Plus. Settings all of a sudden seem skewed - it's no longer storing recordings, randomly not recording. Any tips from anyone here?

@@ScottsCarcamerasMelbourne on the Eastern Freeway has an exit just like it at Bulleen Road, where everything in the left lane suddenly stops - great care is needed. A massive change is currently under way, as it's the southern end of the North East link under construction.

My vote goes to the Austin A30.

The first cammer just kept going when trouble was afoot in the left lane. You should slow down when traffic is backed up next to you. Not very defensive driving.

I have driven in the Uk, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Turkey, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, Cyprus, Falkland Islands, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore and other places. I have never felt so fearful than in Australia. It seems that half the drivers have never read the driving code or used an indicator.
