Touker has done this more than once, all other dragons out, but he doesnt let that influence him. Touker is a great guy.

Yes, he waits until everyone has slammed the pitches and effectively closed the doors, then offers a single inflated percentage. A bit like if you were on eBay and there were five of the same item and you'd missed 4 of them and you have your last chance, you're more likely to pay over the odds for it, so there's more of a chance they will take Touker's inflated "buy-out" offers.

Really for what they were asking it is a peanuts investment for any dragon-especially at nearly a third of the company-they seem to be doing pretty well & likely he has already made his investment back with interest. The fact they had no debt, had invested their own money, were willing to keep doing so & still had some in the bank swung it. Surprised that Sarah declared herself out so early.

Weed works better really, coke tastes awful. Not that I've ever tried either, because drugs are illegal and immoral and sinful.

Follow-up: 1. Touker Suleyman entered BAD brownie as shareholder in 9/3/2016; 2. He became a Director on 10/02/2017; 3. He ceased to be a Director on 21/06/2020; 4. He sold his shares in BAD Brownie on 12/08/2020; 5. They opened a shop in Canary Wharf in 2019, they closed it in 2020 (?); 6. In the meantime the company grew prominently online; 7. According to their latest accounts they went from £47K profit in 2018 and £80K in 2019 to more than £700K in 2020 (it seems COVID was good for business).

He's more of an economist than any of them. He sets the table for a perceived failure, then when the other dragons drop out, effectively reducing the supply of dragons and creating scarcity of investment, he comes back at the end and raises the price as the only one left, to win!

In this case, when he said he can see the store front with the kitchen in back...What he really means is he'll invest in the business, set it up so it's in one of his buildings so it pays HIM the rent. So he's getting money from both sides.

Well of course he did. He gets them into his office space or kitchen and they're paying rent to him. Even if things go downhill, he's still earning some money from them. On top of that, they're close enough that he can keep a close eye on them to give them good advice

hmmm im starting to think learning how to make and manage websites these days are lucrative itself it seems many business now going online and having websites.

They can definitely open shops in popular areas and thrive. Just having one shop in a great spot while also doing online sales would be huge.

The more I watch these I realise Touker is the most decent dragon of them all.

Fun fact: Tuca was actually the sole inspiration for the Penfold character in the Cartoon series "Dangermouse"

I like the way Touker is not afraid to be different in the den. I suppose that is why he is so successful, he is able to see the potential in products/businesses and of course, willing to take those risks too.

Exactly. They kept calm - - giving up the full 35% would have given Touker a higher individual shareholding than either of the owners. And that just does not feel a good position to voluntarily put oneself into. So glad they went for 30% - - they got what they needed, and still kept a little individual leverage. Well done them.

Touker asked that question as in he wanted to tap the girl. Why else do you think he made them an offer?

Another brilliant idea by Peter tho, renting space in other boutique food stores actually makes much more sense over opening up an own store in a very expensive area. 1 it is cheaper and 2 there is already a customer base that will see your product. For the price they would pay if they opened their own store they can display and sell their product in a lot of other stores and reach a lot more people.

Sarah “I have opened so many restaurants” and Touker “you need one of my offices in London”

What lovely guys and so glad they have succeeded. By going on-line, due to COVID, shows they were willing to go where the market place was and glad to hear they have realised their dream and are selling from pop up shops...

In one of the future DD there was another brownie concept and from the beginning Touker said sorry he cannot invest in it. Then I thought because brownies have alcohol in them but now I know why he couldnt...

The writing of the narration is genius by the way.

At this point i'm just watching this show to see what to spend money on.
