I was browsing the Sonic Hacking Contest Expo site when I stumbled across this gem. It's the entirety of Sonic the Hedgehog (ported to the 32X) but with Bad Apple overlayed over it! It's a very funny idea that leads to an... interesting playthrough. I hope you enjoy! (Also sorry for the choppy footage. OBS did not like the emulator I was using for whatever reason!)

I think winning the sonic thing it's for creativity though, not for demoscene things
Some years ago I was a huge sonic fan. Now I'm a Touhou fan. It all comes full circle now.
I have to say This is scarier than Sonic.exe, i mean i properly can't see shit.

sonic 1 but you’re playing it on a projector screen and someone’s standing in front of it trying to show you their shadow puppets

The final boss would suck since you need to see which elevator eggman is in and there is parts where the whole screen gets covered

oh i saw your vid explaining the song a good while back its wild now that it got to become a Sonic 1 Challenge Romhack

Touhou and Sonic, goes together like Chocolate and Mint.

What surprised me about this rom hack is that the creator of crazy sonic created it. SO HE PLAYED A GAME FROM SOMEONE WHO LIKES TOUHOU BEFORE HE MET TOUHOU!
Seems like a genuinely terrible way to play through the game. Catchy music though,
