+Michael Teeuw Haha thanks !
I did this, but with 3" wide pieces that were 12" long, sanded, squared and jointed - so any piece could go anywhere and all I had to worry about is staggering the thickness and color when placing them. Then I shot them with clear satin Polycrylic (for easy cleanup if something like spaghetti sauce hits them) and used clear PowerGrab to glue them to the existing ceramic tile. Worked like a charm and it looks amazing! I got some of the ideas from your video, thanks so much!
You just keep pumping out fantastic projects. Love it!

Love love love!!! Well done product. I want to build a tall 6 or 6 1/2 ft privacy fence from pallets. I want it for privacy from very close neighbors. Thanks for the inspiration. Your work is very professional and shows pride and craftsmanship. Mine will be much more basic.
Great idea man - I don't think I would've ever thought of a false backsplash wall to cover all those hoses. Looks great.

Awesome.. good job bud. You have skills.
cool! i would hinge it to the wall somehow. make it slide then swing. something unique in articulation.
Wow, I love that back splash!! And it's a very popular look.
Thank you so much for doing the before and after shot at the beginning. I wish more people would do this in their how to videos to let me see if I like the look of it or not.
Looks great...keep them coming!
Defo gonna use this idea in my Kitchen! Just gonna apply some clear coat to protect the wood from rotting and then that should be set to go! :)
You are so awesome with your builds. I love watching what you do! Thank you!!!
Firstly, OMG, you’re GORGEOUS! Secondly, what a FANTASTIC, genius idea. I’ve been scouring the internet for ideas for my kitchen backsplash as I really didn’t want tiles and I do believe THIS is what I’ll be making. I’m lucky enough to have several palettes, so I’m going get started right away. Thank You so much for sharing. A big wave to you from England. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I found your channel should be sleep right now but can stop watching. You work is good, I like how you show everything including mistakes. Makes me want to be more crafty.

Great job, I just might try this. I'd use magnets to hold it in place. It's cheap and easy.

Home Depot has 1/2" wide flexible roll magnets, 30" for $4 or 10' for $7. Cut it to whatever length you want. Provides full contact along the entire span.
Gotta love those things that are so simple and obvious that you never think of till you see someone else do it lol. Great work. I'm sure this video will spark a ton of new ideas.

Love the irregular finish looks fantastic. Another winner. And I agree French cleats should do it. Thanks for sharing.
@ThisTall

Not sure if French cleat would work here, because he needs it to have no gaps above or beneath it and with a cleat the piece hanging on needs to be able to drop down into it

very cool idea! attractive, economical way to dress up a laundry room. Easy to remove so the faucets and hoses are still accessible. I'm gonna steal this idea.

Morgan Mendieta Sweet I'll check it out later when I get some free time. Im Sure I could use a couple for my different series of videos. Thanks!
"Black splash" 😂😂 hahaha
I loved this video! Such clear directions and without every power tool under the sun. I like to keeps things simple and when I see videos with huge equipment I know I'm wasting my time. I am redoing several rooms and using as much free wood as possible including pallets. I didn't know what to do with the ugly laundry room hoses and knobs. Now I do!! I picked up other tips too. Can't thank you enough!!! I liked and subscribed.
Glad to see this panel style, it looks great! I've started a similar project and attaching all the pieces has been taking forever and has given me some doubts. Seeing how great your project turned out gave me some new motivation to finish mine

Great piece! Love your creativity, great piece that is versatile: Backsplash, table or desk with beveled cut glass, headboard or a door.....thank you for sharing
Great idea about raising it from the wall. I have the exact same set up and had no idea how to work around the hook ups. I'll be using this method.

This looks slick man. I like the style / execution of it. It gives me an idea for something I can do in my own kitchen and not having even a skill saw to work with.

That's awesome! Good work Broski.
That came out nice!!
Very cool idea! Looks great!
honestly wish I was as creative as you are , honestly love what you do
I'm loving the channel! I dig your modern twist on the reclaimed builds, and your from scratch builds are dope as well. But when working with reclaimed woods, I very highly recommend using an angle or disc grinder with a steel wire cup brush attachment. It's a lightening quick way to clean off any dirt or grime from the wood, and makes it much quicker when you take the next step to sand.

i really enjoy your videos. you come up with great ideas & most importantly you are using regular affordable tools. your not cranking out any festool df 500 q dominos & using some huge general plainer. your cranking ryobi & craftsman, its keeping it real. keep with what your doing, please don't switch up your style, this is the one of the only places i see regular practical tools being used. anyway, love the reclaimed removable backsplash, thats a great idea.
