@@eazypeazy6650 it’s normal and recommended to get two sizes up. They’re just about right for me. Would not mind half size bigger but it works.

Looks like the makings of a great venture. Several things I would take out... and a couple I'd add. A.) Reduce # of the neck-warmer/buffs. I'd recommend: Go 1 in a fleece breathable and another relatively windproof. Find models w/ heat exchanger features. Add Balaclavas --- One silky light to mid weight and one that is heavier windstopper with heat exchanger or nose/breath deflection (like KLIM Arctic). B.) No pillow. C.) I'd think long and hard about benefits of wind-sack when you have the 'body-bag' integrated into your sleep system. D.) Add a pair of Atlas Showa Best 282 TEMRES Insulated Glovesin XL (trust me - these are invaluable!!!) and a dedicated XL leather work gloves or chopper mitts for stove scenarios. E.) ADD: Carbon Felt Welding Blanket 18"x18" or Kona Best BBQ Grill Mat 16" x 13" (These are game changers for stove use). F.) I always like to have along an extra large metal pot or collapsible bucket.

Thanks for the tips. Almost boarding the flight now so too late for changes 😂 I’ll review your gear tips when I get home 👍🏽 As for the buffs - I also use them as a hat / balaclava so that’s why a few extras. Head band feature allows me to regulate heat. Do have extra “work gloves” for cooking and tent setup. But the pillow - I have two haha. Can’t live without. Would u still use a grill mat in the snow? Wind sack is really just to use during breaks in heavy winds and if I need to change clothes or something. Will see how it will go out there.

@@OutdoorPrep Have an awesome adventure. Sounds great on gear selections and well prepared. Makes sense for all the necker-buffs as dual purpose headgear. The heat/FR resistance blankets or grill mats are useful in preventing damages and a 'here's your sign - lol' measure always saying to yourself this stuff gets hot. The grill mat doubles as an exceptional windscreen for on-snow use. On solos --- I try to be cognizant of eye, hand, and feet care/safety to a habit forming standard. Other times instead of placed under stove, use mat as as a barrier. Glad you have working gloves. I'll typically go plain leather or 100% wool for potential stove stuff. The Atlas gloves recommendation was for clearing snow and suchlike that gets other selections soggy and potentially frozen stiff. I do think having the wind-sack will be nice to have just in case, and be a mental/spirit booster should you need a quick game changer, to stop/rest/think/snack. Best wishes. Cheers.

Thanks 🙏 those fake pegs turned out to be “real”. Helsport got back to me and said they didn’t know they were updated 🤨 meanwhile I returned to the store. They were too big and heavy anyway so it’s ok. Posted the update on the video itself - didn’t want to dedicate a whole new video to it haha I have my gear with me so hope to film w lot Greetings from snowy Kiruna ⛄️

Well, living in a place where I can’t really test it in the wild so the expedition was the test 🤷🏻‍♂️ It all worked quite well I must say. Few things were perhaps unnecessary but haven’t changed that much since then.

Make a video about the darkside of hilleberg. I’m really curious to know. As well as that overprice accessory!

Yeah the blanket on top worked half way. You need a way to keep it on top. It will fall off as you move 🤷🏻‍♂️😅

@OutdoorPrep I'll look in my MLD locker of kit maybe my spirit quilt will fit over otherwise I'll ask Ron for a bigger light one that covers. They have loops and such like. Merino? You like merino or woollen clothing out there? I was reading some say synthetic base layers ... i prefer merino option i think

I’ve looked into that but haven’t found a good one. Either too small or too big and heavy. This bag was prefect for my skis and foam pad. I did have a tent bag underneath the polar bedding 👌🏼 Video on that coming soon too 😉

Hi! I'm happy that i found your channel 🙌 I'm about to buy a sleeper bag for my sleeping system also. I see you chose the Sydvang which is little bit less expensive than Fjellpulken sleeper bags, but also smaller. How tall are you and did you find it too small? Im 187 cm and I have very big down sleeping bag. I'm considered that I cant fit into te sydvang fot sleeping.. Keep up the good videos! :)

I’ve used this bag once and then I got the Fjellpulken sleeper for Greenland. It’s a bit heavier - that’s the only down side. Advantages are plenty: It has a “sleeve” for the sleeping pad so it stays in place and doesn’t move around. This is especially great if you have a foam pad underneath. Then it also has zipper pockets on top for snacks, water, gloves and a down jacket. This was super handy especially in harsh weather conditions where you don’t want to expose the sleeping bag to snow storms. It’s also around 2m so my 197cm sleeping pad fits much better inside. I’m 196. Which sleeping bag do you have? I used Pajak 16h which is around 250cm long 🙈

@@OutdoorPrep thanks for the info! So only choice left for me is to choose between the green or red sleeper bag from Fjellpulken 😁 there is high price cap but propably both are good products 🤌 I have the Marmot Cwm Long with comfort limit -40c. Very good sleeping bag but takes a lot of space 😅

@@SakkeRaa the red has a sit function. I got the green one as it was the only one available. Not a fan of the color but it works great. They’ve also introduced some new yellow color recently. What pulk are you using btw?

@@OutdoorPrep haha I hate the green color also😅 i have Fjellpulken 144 which is a little bit too small for me.. I bought the Paris pulk and rab pulk bag to be tested on this winter. With a small group of men we well propably have some extra pulks on a one week expedition so that someone is always draging extra pulk ( like a train) whitch has group gear like tents and stuff

Inspect it properly and measure. Try double poles per sleeve. Should fit easily.
