    Thanks!!!just ready to do a upgrade on my pulk after year one....this is most timely! All of you out there ...get a pulk it is amzing how easy it is ...The key is distributing the weight along the entire length of sled..and then the ability to using ones strong thighs to pull...its amzing how much u can haul!!! Mega knows his stuff!!!

    Pulling fifty pounds in a pulk is WAY better than hiking fifty pounds with a backpack! I like how you review items in the field during actual use.

    Help me out a bit Walker. I have a few questions about using a pulk sled. 1. What's it like dragging 60 pounds of gear up the side of a mountain using one of these? 2. When walking back down the mountain with 60 pounds of gear on a sled, does the sled tend to get in front of you and drag you down the mountain? If not, is it difficult keeping the sled behind you as you descend down the mountain? 3. How well do these sleds work when the snow covers up only half the rocks on the trail? The AT in Pennsylvania is loaded with rocks. My concern is that I will not be able to use one of these sleds unless all of the rocks are completely covered with snow.

    As beautiful as it looks, I don’t blame you for wanting to get out of there.🛷 ❄️❄️ When you’re using the sled, do you just use a day pack?

  • @MegaWoodswalker

    @MegaWoodswalker

    Very often I use a daypack/E&E or even something a bit larger though never wore a full size overnight pack and pulled the sled at the same time. Thanks for watching!

    Just found this video and I'm glad I did. Looks like I will need one of these shortly. Is there a device you can attach to the bottom of the sled for using it in a snowless terrain?
