This was a particularly lucky day--dogs, wedding, husband, pot cleaner. No need to answer the critics, it probably just encourages them.

Hey Taylor, you are an incredible and very positive hiker; very inspirational. Oh my goodness! I cannot believe that someone has the nerve to judge someone else about what they eat or if they watch something on TV! That is just the most ridiculous thing! Girl, I streamed survivor WHILE HIKING on my thru last year!! hahaha, you do you. Also, I stayed in the same room at Discerning hiker and I was alone and he was so fricken cute. Just drove me everywhere, made amazing meals, and was so happy to take care of hikers. I'm so glad to hear he's doing it again this year. Enjoying your 2023 thru-hike and good blurb at the end. I like how you stress that everyone hikes differently and for their own reasons.

I also love to watch TV shows in my tent! Also while I'm cooking/eating breakfast and dinner.... I love backpacking to get away from it all, but for me that mostly means getting away from other people so I'd much rather put in my headphones and watch a TV show at camp rather than talk to the other campers. I'm sharing this to agree with you that there are sooo many variations of why people hike, but also to add that even when people share a "why", their implementation may vary. You keep doing you and I hope you feel the support you deserve for your hike.

You do you. There are way to many people who think their way is the only way. Individuality is what makes us interesting and fun. Loving your hike.

@@KeepTheGates I've known several people that worked extra hard and lived in garages, etc to save up money for thru hikes and other trips. No one knows what others go through to make things possible and it's really not our business. I just wish them well. I'm afraid you are acting like party pooper. I'm new to your channel, not much of a hiker, but enjoy the videos. Especially the Smokey Mountains, beautiful. I'm sure I'm the opposite of others, but the thing I enjoy most about your videos, is that you DO eat a Snickers, or French Toast, or head to McDonald's. Love that! Hike on....

I grew up watching Survivor with my grandparents. Although they are passed, it brings back a lot of memories. We used to sit at our own TVs and talk back-and-forth about the social happenings of the game.

I do a lot of camping and in our camper we have 2 TVs . When we tent camp in the deep woods I down load movies on my phone and PC for us to watch at night. Hike your way and enjoy every minute of it. Happy Hiking 🏕🥾💞📺

It is refreshing to watch your approach to the AT. Some folks are busy trying to out run their demons, or do some sort of endurance march with only cold soaked meals every day.
