Very well done teaching segment, exactly what Australian visual learners need. The correlation of screen to quilt top and step by baby step through the process. Thank you!

Wonderful teachers ❤️ Ah, the joy and tribulations of touch screens. Or forgetting the Drop part of drag/drop...knowing where Stop button is and how to recover is so important to my joy of HQ & ProStitcher

I so needed this. I have watched it twice like I do most of how to W&Ls. I love the fact that I can do it again and again as time goes by. Thanks!

Thanks for this detailed video. I used the process of verifying the position after using drag and drop before starting the next row. I was amazed at how often the design had “drifted” ever so slightly to the right. For this quilt I was able to manage this at every row so It wasn’t an issue. I’ve had quilts where the last row was off by as much as half an inch without verifying each row.

This video is a perfect example of why I purchased my HQ Forte--the support! Although a new owner--just since July--I mostly do custom quilting and then get so lost when I try to sneak in an E2E, on one of my 'lesser' quilts! You just cut out two hours of head scratching, LOL. Thanks! I love to know what each and every button does, onscreen.

Thanks ladies, repositioning to me is the hardest thing to do correctly, especially after a motor error, it gives me nightmares, ha. Your walk through helps a lot.

I've had my PSL less than a month and just completed my 2nd edge to edge on a small quilt yesterday. I had stopped quilting the day before when I was less than halfway through the quilting when my thread got tangled up and I ended up rolling my quilt up so I could see the back to ensure I had removed all the threads but then I was out of place as far as the design went. I shut everything down and watched this video multiple times yesterday before I started it back up because I knew I had to reposition. I appreciate the mutliple ways you showed that this could be done but I ended up trying Kristina's option where I didn't even have to put the needle down. I couldn't believe how easy you made this and I was able to start at the next starting point. Then I had to learn how to crop the last row because the design was larger than my space and that was another learning experience that took me multiple tries before I got it done but it gave me lots of practice of repositioning! Thank you for all the help, tips and tricks that you continue to share and make available for newbies like me that are just starting out on this journey!

So difficult to reposition the exact point to start when a design has lots of backstitching ( like bubbles design) and a thread breaks, I tried to use stitch count but couldn’t figure out which direction to go….is there a way to do this?

It is very difficult to tell the software which spot you want when there is overstitching! I teach people to go back to a place in the design that doesn't have any overstitching (auto button twice). Then use the arrows to move forward in the design to the exact spot you are wanting to be at.

This worked great so many times. But I'm having a problem today. Unlike your screen, my usually orange crosshairs are Purple! What does that mean? Also, when I go back to Prostitcher tab, the Run button is Gray! I selected the Run status button. It said nothing is selected. How do I select something? It has always been selected for me and I just start stitching out the design. I'm confused and frustrated as I can't find help anywhere. PS this started after: The machine had been off overnight. It had stitched out many rows easily abd with no issues prior to being shut down for the night. We turned it on, re-loaded the saved design, moved to the correct start point, stitched out a complete E2E row, and did the long jump. It then stitched out a single motif, after which it began ghost stitching-tracing out the design lines without actually making any stitches. Since then, attempts to correct the issue were fruitless and maybe a little worse with each new start. Have absolutely no idea what to do. Help, please.

If your crosshairs are purple, you are in free motion. If you go to the Pro-Stitcher tab, and click on the Gears button in the ribbon, you will hear the gears engage and the crosshairs will turn orange.

your drag and drop is confusing since it would not start at the beginning of the next row?

With drag and drop, when you hit the resume button, the machine knows to go to the next row.

Hi Keri Ive been using Pro Stitcher with my Avante since 2017, this was my first ever longarm machine and while it was a steep learning curve to get to grips with (now updated from original version) there are many great training videos online, some by Handi Quilter, some by other longarm users. I live in the UK and I originally chose a Handi Quilter machine with Pro Stitcher because of the great training & support they offer. I hope you are soon able to resolve your issues, stick with it, it has some great features. Good Luck.
