I've been on the "Ren rabbit hole" for a year now, while bingeing... The well of talent seems endless! Every song is a new exciting journey! I have not felt like this in a very long time!

Sting is the singer and the Police is the band. Ren's voice naturally has many of tbe tones and range of Sting. He has done several Sting covers. One of his influences along with John Fruciante and Jeff Buckley . I agree that Englishman in New York and Swan Song(wtitten by Gorran Kendall) are both great harmonizing with the boys.

Ren is exceptional at everything! For pure poetry Ren I would highly recommend penitence with Molly Mckinna. It's beautifully hard hitting but immaculate aswell.

Hey Cuzzie, a bit of backstory to this retake: Ren released a BTS (Behind The Scenes) video on his patreon channel recently. The BTS was put together by his friend Kai - the guy playing bass guitar here with Ren. The setting is a bar in Brighton, (Bar Valentino) and they only had a few hours to do the shoot, having to be out by 3:00 pm as the bar was opening at 5:00 pm. All in all this video went from a germ of an idea from Ren - to the finished product in just eleven days, and during the Xmas break. Kudos to Ren, Sam, and the small team. A standout scene in the BTS, is Ren sitting on a couch in his apartment, rehearsing his lyrics - with a drip attached to his arm. He is still receiving almost daily treatment to restore his damaged immune system, all while producing this quality music. The man is a legend. Nice reaction. Kia kaha from NZ

Great reaction. If you want to hear something totally different from Ren with incredible harmonies then listen to the Big Push singing Swan Song. It is a hidden gem amid the more popular choices with the added bonus of Ren playing yet another instrument 🙂

As you would know by now the Message in a Bottle is the Police from the U/K. As soon as you said an Australian band I thought of Men at Work as the lead singer Colin Hay, sounds similar to this style and tone too.

So glad you did this one My new favorite. 😊😊Two suggestions. On the light side is Uninvited. This is how Ren describes it in Rolling Stone UK. "This one is probably the most pop sounding track on the record. It’s a bit of a parody on cheesy love songs, packed full of euphemisms, and horrendously catchy." Another one of his newer ones is Fred Again Mashup. Ren's take on songs from UK artist Fred Again. If you prefer old school hip hop another new one is Nas Halftime Retake. All great!

Another beautiful reaction. Check out the original Back on 74 by Jungle for some great dancing and smooth vocals. Two weeks before this dropped, Ren dropped Fred Again Mashup. A showcase for his singing ability if there ever was one. I know you'll love it. He's a vocal shape shifter.

You HAVE to check out any busking video with Ren and Sam Tompkins. They're amazing together! Check out them doing "Latch" or "Earned it, Man's World, Falling" and even their own original song "Blind Eyed" and there's two live versions that are both AMAZING. One is on a KZread channel called "Music Crown" and the other is titles "Ren and Sam Tompkins Blind Eyed featuring the Angry Car Park Attendant" hahaha Awesome reaction and I definitely dropped a sub!
