Momo is amazing, there's a whole new breath of life in the band nowadays - and the others have made a big effort of welcoming her. I read in an interview she said Su had told her she shouldn't see her stepping in as being a replacement, but as her joining a _new_ Babymetal where they're all newcomers.

Absolutely! Su really has an empathic soul. Even if she still misses Yui chan desperately, she cares for Momo too and this was the perfect thing to say.

Momo has been doing amazing and she's always so happy and upbeat, she matches Moa's energy so well. I really hope in the future they incorporate Momo vocals into actual tracks instead of just the lives.

Momoko is great, and she earned her spot in the group. She was an avenger (supporting dancer) for BABYMETAL for five years.

In my humble opinion, I think BABYMETAL is living their best life with the addition of Momo. It's so noticeable how super happy and relaxed they are, they have fun at the show and the chemistry between them is perfect! My favorite era of BABYMETAL! 🥰🤘🏽🦊❤️

Appreciate it lol. Im not much an animated person so felt a little odd doing it but its my #1 band so imma listen to what they tell me 😂

How has Momo done? From what we can see onstage, Su and Moa love having her there with them. They're all more experienced and comfortable anyway, but the fun and games, the laughs and energy we see these days, can't be faked, and she's really fitted in. I love the closing performance of Ijime Dame Zettai at Clear Night last year, the first of Momoko's official concerts because at the end they all, particularly Moa, look so happy together, like they're whole again.

In Sakura Gakuin, where Babymetal originated, Momoko said she wanted to join the "heavy metal group" aka Babymetal. However, Babymetal had already decoupled from Sakura Gakuin. Momoko stated her ambition was to be a back-up dancer for a famous band. In April 2023, that dream came true. Su and Moa asked Momoko to join Babymetal becuase they wanted to become a trio again. Momometal agreed to accept the challenge and assume the position held by the beloved Yuimetal. Momoetal is an excellent choice, she adds another dimension to Babymetal. She and Moa have very similar personalities and are very playful on-stage (and backstage per Moa). As Momometal has become more comfortable and confident, she and Moa have elevated their number and type of antics. They all seem more relaxed and happy to be on-stage. You should warch some of the various videos of the various "Hengao " and "cute and funny moments" (specifically those from 2023 onward) to see the on-stage chemistry between them. Poor older sister Su-metal is flanked by two mischievous pranksters.

I swear to the Fox God that this video doesn't do justice to the actual live performance. And not only because of the use of fancam footage but also because it misses the whole intro of the song and the previous lore. I was there and it's one of my favorite live experiences ever. Momoko is doing amazingly well. After all she has been working with BABYMETAL since 2019. Yui left officially in 2018 after not being able to perform since 2017. Until the addition of Momoko in April 2023, BABYMETAL was officially a duo. So, we can't talk about "replacement".

Very cool - and clever that they got her to sing it slightly staccato? which solves any breathlessness problems. Good reaction and nice to hear her actually scrream.

2:15 what is interesting, the type of bow in Japan is used as probably the biggest asking for forgiveness, etc. usually towards an elder. Which is what makes it funny, because they were already performing this when they were just 13, 13 and 14. 🙂
