That is one squirmy little lamb. I am sure it was not easy to shear with all of that movement. They are definitely adorable little guys though.

We raise Babydolls too! Hoping to shear them myself this Spring so I searched Shearing Sheep and you guys popped up!

there is a younger woman who shears Llamas, sheep, etc on utube that is very professional, this guy is very amateurish and the animal seems extremely distressed. take lessons from her!!

Hey mate just watching your clip i think the main reason the lamb is moving so much is your gear is not driving the hand piece fast enough there for its dragging and pulling the wool out instead of you getting a clean cut . PS i shore sheep in Australia for 20 odd years not trying to be a smart alec but thats what it looks like on clip also lambs always play up.

Does shearing _hurt_ the sheep? (Serious question! I know NOTHING about them.) I am thinking of getting 2 babydoll sheep (or some other "mini" breed) and was just curious as the one in this video seemed squirmy and was struggling throughout.

It doesn’t hurt the sheep if you do it right, but domestic sheep must be sheared, if they don’t, their fur will get very long and it will be very hot and tough for them to move. 8 months late though
