Here we have an Aztec logging truck loaded by a Sumitomo SH240 logloader in New Zealand. The wood was felled my hand and then forwarded with the Sumitomo logloaders.

    Nice logging job...here in the USA its different depending on area u live in and which state u live in...they all have different weight limits and different ways to log to mill specs...1 day me and my family will go to different places in the world to see different operations...ya be safe in the woods.

    Leonard Carr. I didn't there was any other saw made besides a STIHL lol. Oh the music in the woods when logs are being made. Exsaw man myself nothing but STIHL.

    nice easy skid to load on, Crikey Ill be at a shit of a skid in the morning loading pulp most probably and I have to drive down 40 odd km's of bush road to get there. Yes this is a nice skid,

    I was involved in timber line from logging, scaling, grading, export documentation till I was a general manager of a wood base factory over a span of 39 years and was retired in 2012 loaded with bags of experience

    When I was a kid in the 50's and 60's my whole male family were loggers, truckers and everything in between. There have been a lot of road laws since then but not many. Log truck drivers are just like the rest. Paid for load weigjt. The more you deliver the more you make. You have not truly lived until you are behind a log truck that is out of control and careening down a mountain. Not overloaded just a mechanical problem. Be very courteous to truck drivers. The weight behind them is beyound your scope.

    reminds me of my days, KLC NZ MURAPARA 1960,s on the skids its abt trust in the team, in those days we had cable draglines Ruston Bucyrus, often they got flipped as the operators cast the load, we had d7 and allis hd11 to bring the stems to the skids, we had Cummins Pacific trucks, from memory we were 23 gangs

    Gross weight around 44t to 54t depending on certification and tare of maybe 16t.

    the fella in the volvo was standing on the wrong side of the drawbar while hooking up his trailer, you should always be standing on the opposite side of the drawbar so the loader driver can have a clear view of the towing eye. sorry to be a know it all, its just a safety point I thought Id mention. Great vid though

    I worked for Ken Tanner years ago from Tairua.i was the chief engineer at the kaitaia Mill. I understand he closed up his milling business in the Coromandel .

    Here In Finland logtrucks have 9 axles and 76 tons total weight. And other trucks too.

    @@Keep-on-Rockying sorry, but that is the old version, now we deliver to Finland timber forwarder: Self loader with 86 ton Gross weight, is a 5 axle truck and 5 axle trailer, truck have a rear mounting crane, also we built for them timber trains with 104 ton Gross weight, 33 m length, but this is not any more self loaders.If any like more information, just contact me any time.     @@Keep-on-Rockying What I talk? You are wrong, in Finland the biggest 86 ton (104 but not on all road), but you say only 76 tons, what are wrong on my talk? (maybe you dont know your own traffic rules?)
