AX90027 SCX10™ 2012 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon - Kit: www.axialracing.com/products/a...
The Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon is one of those vehicles that is rarely left stock once in the hands of its owner. We understand this and have come to the table with our next offering. Our partnership with Jeep® continues with a kit version that allows you to build your Jeep® from the ground up. The Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon kit is unassembled and comes with a variety of option parts that not only look cool, but add performance and reliability as well. Suspension is one of the most important components in an offroad vehicle. Because of this, we've partnered with Icon Vehicle Dynamics to create a set of precision designed aluminum shocks to give you the performance and reliability you need. The aluminum shocks feature precision machined pistons which offer smooth performance throughout the range of travel. Made to tight tolerances, these aluminum shocks feature clear coated polished aluminum bodies, complete with aluminum faux reservoirs. The main body of the shock is threaded for quick ride height adjustments and per-load tuning ability. Like their full size counterparts these shocks are completely rebuildable, tunable and offer consistent handling all while adding some of that Icon bling to your SCX10 chassis. The shock shafts are titanium nitride coated which makes them ultra smooth and helps prevent corrosion.
Because it's a kit, we've omitted the electronics which allows you to install your favorite radio system and motor for a truly custom rig. During the building process you'll make decisions about; paint scheme, shock oil weight (30wt provided), spring rate choices (soft/medium provided), a three or four link setup and installing additional hop-up parts that you may have purchased separately.
If you're looking to build your ultimate dream Jeep®, this is the kit that will allow you to do it!
TRAIL PROVEN PERFORMANCE
Axial has joined forces with the most recognized name in off-roading - Jeep®. The SCX10 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon was designed to resemble its full sized "scale/1:1" counterpart. We really did our research with this vehicle by building a full scale version for testing, research and development. We wanted to make sure you'd get the best built SCX10, right out of the box.
GO OVERLAND, DO EXPEDITION
The heart of any reliable four wheel drive vehicle starts with the drivetrain and the SCX10 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon has been fitted with the ultra reliable and globally proven SCX10 axles. Everything from the axle strength, pinion angle, caster, and ground clearance were taken into consideration when designing these axles. The result is a far superior axle that will stand up to some severe punishment. To ensure added longevity from the start, a high-tolerance sintered diff locker is included along with hardened axle shafts. The SCX10 also includes a rock solid transmission with a protective cover to keep dirt and debris out of your pinion and spur gear and an adjustable slipper clutch that allows the motor to work more efficiently which greatly enhances the durability of the drivetrain by allowing the transmission to slip in hard binds. The SCX10 mates the transmission and axles to an even more realistic or "scale" metal c-channel frame. The realistic high strength c-channel chassis frame is made of durable steel with cross bracing for reinforcement and is held together with all hex hardware. Realistic shock hoops with multiple shock mounting positions allow you to adjust your suspension for maximum performance.
The SCX10 also runs true to scale wheels and tires. We've included a set of officially licensed Maxxis Trepador tires molded in our R35 sticky compound which offers superior grip and they're mounted on all black Walker Evans Racing wheels for an aggressive look! These are taller than our Ripsaw 1.9 tires which gives you more ground clearance, bump absorption and trail ruggedness for smooth, stable performance on your favorite trails.
The SCX10 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon is designed for fun, especially if you have a few friends that have scale rigs. Getting a few guys together and going out for a scale trail run is one of the most enjoyable things you can do if you're an avid off-roading enthusiast. The SCX10 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon is a 1:10 scale rig that provides full scale fun!

We like to move the battery to the front. This gives the overall package a more scalistic weight bias and handling characteristics. Look on the Axial website and look in the blog section for Bender's blog post called BODY TECH - 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Kit Keep an eye on the blog as Bender will be doing the battery reposition mod in the near future. You can simply copy paste: BODY TECH - 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Kit Keep and drop it into your search to get you there!
I spy Coonce's Bugeye WRX in the window reflection at 0:21. I love that car.
these are a great build, tough as nails, great scale looks and performance that is hard to beat. axial has done a great job with this kit.
Wow, was praying for a kit version. You made it happen, thanks Axial, can't wait for it to hit stores in Switzerland. This is my next RC. Love it
Can't wait for this to hit the store thanks axial for another master piece
Sick remote control!
Love the hardtop
Fantastic kit axial!!!!!!!!
simply amazing!
It is included in the kit only, but can be ordered separately and painted to match the RTR.
It has a slightly longer wheelbase than the Dingo. So, it will be a little more capable on big steep climbs. The Dingo will work better in tight technical terrain.
Great stuff just what we have all hoped for :-) thanks Axial. RTR due in the UK this month, can't wait for these to arrive too.
NICE!!! Gotta have one.
We painted the top on the outside of the body to get that flat black look.
I purchased this kit two weeks ago from the LHS, and its a nice kit. Took my time building it though. One thing on the body to remove-able top. it lines up fairly well, but the sides puff out away from the main bodies sides. Not sure if it does that on other kits or if I mounted it slightly off.? But over all its easy to build and tune. Wish the body wouldve had dimples on where to drill out the mounting holes for all the fasteners. Wouldve made placing body accessories much easier.
Love this video
Love the look of the new Rubicon. The kit with the removable hard top is even better. You missed the mark on the inside though. This really should have a full interior, not a half, so should the dingo for that matter. You should at least sell one after market for those that would like to be scale and don't have the skill to make one from scratch.
I like my RTR of this truck, i'm already changing out parts for more rigid parts.
It is the Kit Version of the RTR.
Too funny. I saw your tracks yesterday out there,,,lol Cool Vehicle....will have to add it to the arsenal!!! Great job Axial! Another winner! 2-AX10's 2-XR10's 1-Wraith 1-EXO Terra 4-SCX-10's (soon to be a fifth)
отличная модель получилась)
OF COURSE THERE'S A KIT AFTER CHRISTMAS.
Awesome this is what I've been waiting for that's why I didn't buy the rtr version
bro this video and rig is the business
This chassis design has a lot less torque twist issues than the older AX10's, because of a better suspension link set-up.
hola que tal para cuando estan a la venta? muchas gracias.
bacana o vídeo
i was thnking about asking this fir christmas until i saw the 1969 camaro rs rc car but thanks for showing me this one.
sick!
nice video, I have an old ax10 scorpion but it has the Chassis twist while sudden acceleration, which I don't really like. Do you get that on this newer chassis?
great
this looks more like a "american expedition vehicle" than a stock Rubicon, nice!
I have the RTR, and have just ordered the hard top. How did you paint the top flat black???
how does it preform with the battery in the battery in the back compared to the honcho with the battery in the front
Badass
Is the top covering for kit only, or does the RTR also include it?
the roof is removable also
Looks really nice! Liked and shared! :-)
Haha nice catch!
Is the rtr verersion a remake of the owners car?
how esay is it to put together im new to building kits
what upgrades have been done
niiiiice video ;)
' which one is better,,, tamiya brusier or traxxas summit or axial jeep or tamiya F-350 truck
It is a stock kit with the battery mounted up front, no upgrades or hop-ups installed.
Hey are those shocks part of the kit too? Awesome JK!
Axial should make a fastback top for the Jeep Wrangler. It would look cooler.

Why not buy one I did I'm 13
rcmodelex has a jeep jk hard body but little pricey
you have too admit the car is amazing but you dont get the same excitement with a offroading independant suspension
please what is the remote distance for this car? how far this car can go from my radio transmitter?

Well, as these are crawlers, you usually won't be running them at great distances because you need to be close to watch what path your tires are taking while you're crawling. That being said, most 2.4 gHz systems have very good range and as this video is showcasing a kit you'll have to buy your own transmitter. Axial uses Flysky and they should be good about as far away as you can judge the direction of your rig. In these days of RC with everyone going to the 2.4 system range and interference are not common concerns in my experience.
