Axial AXI03003 SCX10™ III Jeep® Wrangler Rubicon JLU RTR

More info: www.axialracing.com/t/vehicles...
The 1/10 scale, ready-to-run Axial® SCX10™ III Jeep® JLU Wrangler 4WD marks the next step forward in scale off-road action. While continuing to incorporate key components that have made SCX10™ vehicles successful, the SCX10™ III increases chassis realism with details that include a replica V8 engine to house the installed brushed motor. It’s mated to a realistic transmission housing and transfer case, like a 1:1 vehicle. The RTR also comes complete with the Spektrum™ DX3™ 3-channel 2.4GHz DSMR® transmitter and Firma™ 40A ESC/receiver - for a radio system that’s ready to give you the advantages of innovative Spektrum™ Smart technology.
Out of the box, the SCX10™ III Jeep® JLU Wrangler transmission features a third-channel DIG function that lets you lock the rear axle from the transmitter for front wheel drive and a tighter turning radius. As an alternative, you can set up the vehicle with a two-speed transmission instead and select between high and low speeds. If you’d like to use both the two-speed transmission and DIG function, just add another servo and a radio with at least four channels (such as the 5-channel Spektrum™ DX5).
The SCX10™ III Jeep® JLU Wrangler uses portal axles to improve performance by increasing the ground clearance and reducing torque twist. Its standard battery tray accepts full-size “standard” LiPo or NiMH packs. There’s space on the side rails as well for drivers who prefer smaller packs. Inner fenders and floor sides hide internal components that would usually be visible from the side of the chassis.
The chassis is topped off with a 2020 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited four-door body that includes a roll cage, front hood vents and cowl, windshield wipers, mirrors, door handles and other molded-in details, plus a detailed interior and LED lighting. New taller and wider, officially licensed Nitto Trail Grappler tires on 3-piece beadlock wheels add more scale realism and more grip on dirt, rocks, and all other off-road trails.

Best deal yet full rtr with every awesome part the kit has. Now I await the straight axle Honcho kit. After all SBG and Harley Designs said they'd do another build series on KZread if it happens!

I got the red one on the way from RPP. 11 tooth pinion, program card and a smart baterty and charger. Pretty excited to check out this new esc/receiver combo and the new new smart stuff. This looks to be the best scx10 yet.

Why show dig its not on the rtr without a servo and 4 channel radio I've watched reviews

All the videos I've seen show dig being standard and if you want the two speed transmission to change gears you either change the spacer in the transmission, or if you want dig and two speed you need a new radio.

Wow, that's how to make an awesome RC video. Only thing I could see wrong, was no bits falling off the trucks, like a full size real Jeep. Ha, it's a Jeep thing...

Pardon my newb question. Is the RTR version of this rig like the Traxxas TRX4 sport in that it doesn’t have two gear gearbox like a higher end version of this might?

No interest in the dig, 2 speed actually adds realism and wider capabilities IMO. I also don't like the portals on this, should be on the Unimog instead. I am sticking with my 10.1 and 10.2s for now. The '55 Ford is definitely tempting.

Dig function locks out the rear axle so only the front wheels are turning you get tighter radius turns in some cases more control on hill dissent and can use it when climbing as well

Axial Axial Axial, will you make portal axel bridge so I can put portals under my Umg10 6x6. I have this Jeep in my line up, it’s not built yet but it’s really nice an I am proud of you folks for coming correct. Please help me get right with Jesus and put portals on my Unimog, I don’t want to put traxxas portals and Vanquish doesn’t make a Bridge portal for the scx10. If you need help I’ll let you folks put the new axels on my rig for testing purposes.

Sorry Axial this doesn’t do it for me, 2 in 1 esc welcome to the 90’s, and portals on a Jeep, really and what’s with those scale tyres? I have 6 Axial vehicles but won’t be buying this unless it comes as a straight axle raw builders kit.
