Axial SCX6 Climbing Sandy Hills At The Beach

Trying to keep something this big hidden is pretty hard. It stands out like a sore thumb in the regular crawling spots, so I took it to a nearby park to look for some things to crawl on...sandy things.

this is a BIG (no pun intended) rollout for Axial, it appears All the RC Tubers got 1 of these for review. It will have to come in a kit as I am not a Spektrum Fan, at this Price Point getting a DX3 Radio is just a kick in the nuts. Granted 95% of the people buying this will more than likely have a better radio.

Get a couple 2s batteries and turn your X-maxx into a slow crawler. On 4S the Xmaxx goes about 16-17mph tops.

Other option to turn your xmaxx a slow crawler is to use a single 4S battery and plug in a jumper plug into the other battery cable (traxxas part 8527).

I want to put hub extensions on the SCX6 like +10mm offset - (ordered mine but have not received it yet) anyone know what the axle size is - referring to the actual threaded part (I know the hub is 17mm) im guessing the axle size is 6 or 8mm? (really hoping someone has popped the wheel off and measured) or even better knows of a hub extension that works for sure!

I dont think it really mattered that much going to a place where no one would see you ... it seems like Axial has handed out a tonne of early releases with this model ... the brother in law somehow got one aswell, and he got alot of attention when he went out into public but got away with just saying it was a home built custom rig and no one was the wiser since there are no real 1/6 scales crawlers out there LoL! But I gotta say the green colored one you have is nicer then the grey one he got ... his just looks like a 10.3 been hit with the make it larger ray gun! HaHa!

Looks like the Axial engineers finally mastered the initial basics of suspension dynamics and force multiplication after over a decade of faux-pas... Looks like they are also still cheap AF on making the only tires o their size... The very least they could have done was to include Competition Mudslingers with cutouts for a vehicle this innovative. Flipped on the driver's door because of cheap AF tires...??? No Sale for me without competent tires... B-/
