There's also that moment us artists have when we have a great vision of the perfect drawing, but then once you finish the sketch you're just like, "Well this isn't right. I had better expectations of this drawing..." And then that drawing goes into the trashcan. [At least for me it does.]

Ugh! I know how it feels with these problems. The 2 most worst pet peeve for me is 'Meeting Better Artist' and 'All the problems they ask you' Sometimes when you are in the middle of drawing and your drawing the body first they say things like "Where is the head?" or "Where's the face" And meeting way better artist makes me feel a little guilty or disappointed in myself as if I just wanted to be the better artist. But all in all, We Artists have to live with these stuff. Trust me,I doubt some will come up to you while your drawing and not ask 4 - 5 question in 10 seconds.

Holy cow everyone asks me this when I draw portraits. Glad im not the only one.

I just want all artists to know that when people ask “can you draw me?”, they aren’t always trying to be annoying. They are admiring your work, and are surprised to see how amazing you may draw as well. They may not be the best at drawing and may not draw at all and would love for a talented person to draw them! So they may keep it! This goes out for all the artists :)

ugh ikr? there was this other girl who also watches anime and she wasn't as good of an artist as me (not meant to be mean) and she'd always say "Let me teach you how to draw anime eyes!" "I know how to" and i finally just let her draw an anime eye on a piece of paper and draw my better one underneath it. that got her to shut up (only saying its better because several people told me so)

Everytime someone asks me that, I tell them I can't draw real people (like even in a cartoon style) very well, so it probably won't look like them. But they still want me to, so I do and then they say, "uhhh that looks nothing like me." And all I can do is feel like I failed. Might just be me but that's why I don't draw people, plus the question is anyoning. Also saying you don't like it or its just bad is not construction criticism, It doesn't help what so ever.

My friend was recently in a really bad car crash and broke her arms and something from the shoulder(sry I forgot the name). She woke up after a week finally and has to get therapy to go back to school. She absolutely ADORES drawing so I hope she gets better... 😭😭 She was with her grandma when they got into the accident and sadly her grandma died on Saturday. She never woke up...

well yeah but it also just makes you feel so great, knowing how much you've improved, doesn't it? I can't keep myself laughing when flipping through my old art, somehow my old crap drawings make me so happy :D

All of this is true bro mostly in school where everyone ask so many questions but all art mistakes are beautiful.

Me: *anxiety rushing over* Just a person, dude. Person: Oh, sweet. Can I see how you draw? Me: No, sorry. -2 hours pass- *Person still leaning over shoulder* Me: I'll colour this when-- Hey, dude, what are you doing here? Person: *gets startled and knocks my hand which makes a pen mark across my page* And that children, is how Person died.

People will look over my shoulder and say, "How do you draw like that?!!!" I'll stare at them and reply, "Years of hard work." The idiot will then attempt to copy exactly what I'm drawing and be like, "Why isn't mine as good as yours???" I just ignore them.

One of the worst things of being being the "artist" in class is when they judge you and your drawing even though they can't draw or maintain the perfect anatomy. :( :(

This all happens to me a lot plus I love to draw in pen so when I make a mistake I get super annoyed and another thing that happens to me is it when some asks me and my friend who is better when one of us does realistic and one does cartoon and we can only One of the not the other

This is so relatable, I love art and I think any artist can say that the annoying questions are endless.

The most awkward moment I've ever had was the time my 8 year old cousin came into my room, found one of my sketch books, and flipped through it. The book was pretty new, and all I had at that point were drawings of boobs and naked bodies because I was practising anatomy. I freaked out so much and snached the book our of her hands. Thankfully she didn't mention anything to her parents. xD
