Washing hair: 1. Flip upside down 2. Wet 3.shampoo roots (scratching and massaging scalp) 4. Rinse still upside down 5. Apply conditioner to ends and work product up until all detangled 6. Finger-comb only 7. Let conditioner sit 8. Cup small amount of water in hand and rinse sections (still upside down) 9. Hair should feel silky like seaweed 10. Apply alot of gel smoothing on top, bottom and sides of hair 11. Scrunch from botton 12. Gently flip over 13. Gently towel dry 14. Using diffuser blow dry a little bit 15. Air dry rest No brushes. No combs. No washing: 1. Run wet fingers through hair to detangle 2. Smooth a little conditioner in (Or throw up in a messy bun- CAN ONLY DO 1 TIME OUT OF 5 DAYS)

Ummm, colds are caused by viruses....it has nothing to do with actually being cold.

Sara's hair looks amazing by the end of the experiment, her curls look beautiful, bouncy and defined. She should definitely carry on with some of Megan's routine.

I wish I had their curls! My hair is naturally wavy, but no one taught me what to do with it so I've kept it straight for the longest time. Trying to get my old hair back now, and I'm watching so many of these videos

So I have naturally very very straight hair but I use a lot of the tips that Megan uses in her routine. I have never had so much volume before!!! Washing your hair upside down makes such a difference. What I do after I finish washing my hair (when its still dripping wet) is dry it with a t-shirt just until it stops dripping so much, and then I put it into a bun on the top of my head for an hour or so, and then I take out the bun and use a blow dryer on a cool setting to completely dry it. I get so much volume and it feels so smooth and velvety I LOVE it!

I changed my hair routine to almost like Megan’s and you can honestly see a good difference in my hair !

I just realized that my sister doesn't know how to properly care for her curly hair. She has very defined big curls. They're not as small as theirs. I can't say I have seen someone with the same curly hair as her. People often think she curls her hair. She is the only one in the family with curly hair so no one has told her how to care for it. She could be quite insecure about her hair at times. I noticed that her curls are starting to be less defined.

I had this exact problem growing up. My mom has thin, flat, blonde hair. I have curly, thick, brown hair. She didn't know how to care for it, so in turn I never learned. She blow dried my hair regularly when I was younger, so my hair was always just this weird wavy poofy mess and I hated it. This year I really began to learn how to care for my curls. I think my curl pattern is a little messed up from the years of brushing, but they've definitely gotten better. Definitely send this to your sister!

So glad Megan uses the curly girl method! I've been doing it for the past few years and my hair looks so much healthier now.

I tried a little mixture of megans and saras hair routines and my curls have never looks better! I lost alot of my curly texture due to heat and just not taking care properly and I'm so happy after seeing this!

Did she just say that 70 degrees is too cold to be outside with wet hair... 😳 Its 18 degrees here, try going outside and having your hair freeze 😂

Well, people from different climates will think of the cold differently. I'm from Texas and while I don't find 70° cold at all, a lot of people start losing their minds when it gets below 75°.

Yesss. I love these videos so much because growing up I never knew what to do with my hair. My mum had straight hair and so she never knew how to take care of my hair either. This resulted in years of damaging my hair and not even realising it. I’ve been trying to help my hair get back to it’s bouncy curls, but it’s hard to figure it out on my own. Straight hair is sooooo easy to manage. I know because I relaxed my hair while back. Yeah literally all you have to do is brush. Then your hair will be neat and perfect. Even AFTER a windy day, just brush it and it’ll be back to normal. CURLY hair on the other hand needs more maintaining and you have to be really careful with it. My hair grew out and now it’s back to curly. I love it though now, like the volume 😝

I have to have my hair up in a bun for work so I only get to do my hair curly on days off or weekends and I never put Gel in my hair I use creams and oils lol and I let it and dry and wash it once a week maybe I'll do conditioner more then shampoo some times I'll go 2 weeks without shampoo

SheaMoisture coconut and hibiscus shampoo is what I used for years. It works great for me. Hair One Cleanser and Conditioner with argan oil (which I think is sold only in Sallys or amazon). Sulfate-free is what works for me. I only comb it in the shower with a really wide shower comb to distribute evenly and let it air dry. I do have a silk pillowcase from amazon for $10 and it doesn't make my hair frizzy.

Megan, you can use Devacurl clips to put the volume back in the top of your hair. Omg this video was really great and relateable

so happy to see all those positive comments about megan's hair and routine bc she said in the past that she felt very self conscious about it and i think she needs that kind of positivity!

I have curly hair, but the curls are very loose and closer to the bottom of my hair. I wash and condition my hair. I then squeeze water out, comb it out, put in curling mousse, and scrunch it. Sometimes if it’s not defined or the top layer is straighter, I’ll put curling gel in it and scrunch.

As a curly haired woman I was so excited for this video but it really is pointless if you don‘t get an insight on the exact steps and the products!! Buzzfeed makes such cool informative videos why not do one on curly hair routines!

I always airdry, and if I can do it in Cleveland winters, you can do it in LA winters. However, I must say, when my curls freeze in the frigid temps, they look FABULOUS once they dry! There is zero frizz and they are extremely well defined!

Could Megan give us a full tutorial on how she does stuff? Like products and tips, a complete run through because I want my hair to look like that

where i live we are so used to the cold that we will go outside with our hair wet in 20 degree weather.

My curly girl routine Day1: was hair with shampoo, put in a leave in conditioner and moose let air dry Day 2: get wet with spray bottle crunch up curls with fingers Day 3: same time as day 2 Day 4: same as day 2 but add a bit more moose Day 5: no wanter just put it up in a pony tail, sleep with it in the pony tail Day 6: no water put it in a bun sleep with it in the bun Day 7: take out of the bun, brush through it with fingers and then French or dutch braid Day 8: wash it and start the process over!

I'm so happy you guys created this video (kinda sad I've never seen it though) I absolutely love Megan's routine and I can't wait to try it

I've never been a fan of curly bangs but she looks so beautiful. And the girl with the pink hair should be incredibly happy because her hair looked terrible at the beginning, and so good after.

That's my problem, I basically never EVER stop touching my hair it's pretty much my bad habit. Although my hair is a different style than them

I’m watching this after Megan finished chemotherapy ❤️❤️❤️

My curly hair routine consists of plating me hair before bed so as to not wake up in knots. Then I wash and condition it with curl defining shampoo every second day (my hair is at armpit length when curled). Then I brush it when wet so it does not frizz and let it air dry. I don't like putting product in my hair or putting heat on it. it seems to keep my hair damage free and I get nice curl definition.

In Minnesota your hair actually ~FREEES~ when you go outside in the winter! You've got this 70 degrees, girl! Rock those curls!

I do the water and conditioner spray bottle too. ALWAYS USE IT
