It was a nice touch that the anime drawings were on sketch paper that didn't even have the edges taken off

Jones Crimson no, going to art school is costly and most artists never make that money back. People post their art in communities in the hopes that fellow artists can give them advise on how to better their art However, there are people like Katie who will just fish for complements, it happens in every community not just the art community

Agreed, Art Schools are awful. Which is why I recommended an Undergraduate School, which is a two year college, and not a Fine Arts Academy, which is a four year College. You would really only benefit from a Masters Degree in Fine Arts if you intended to Teach Art instead of Make Art.

I think we’re all too eager to label ourselves, to the point that such designations become territories. Many of us make art - importantly, not just visual art - and alongside professional or expert artists, should freely state “I make art” instead of being subject to valuations about who is/isn’t an artist.

there is no real standard of a "real artist" but I sure know thatwhat Katie portrayed wasn't one. It's a joke, supposedly to expose the art side of instagram which is bunch of people being full of themselves.

This is soooooo much accurate. This is video is a real piece of modern art, such an accurate depiction of the whole instagram "artist" thing ! I don't understand all the comments talking about how this criticizes the art community. It's just a joke and an exaggeration of something, it's not bashing anyone who pursues art as a career. And I think it highlights some of the people who don't take art seriously at all and only put out 'okay' works to get attention, disregarding criticism and only listening to people who suck up to them, that stuff happens to and it's a play on people like THAT rather than on art itself, for that, I think it was a pretty good job.
