Awesome RESTORATION | 1950s Vintage Toy Mixer Restoration
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Welcome to the channel! This is a (from what I can tell) a 1950s vintage to mixer. I bought it off of Ebay for the purpose of restoring it. It made for a AWESOME restoration.
I first of all, dismantled the mixer and began cleaning it up. I sand blasted the painted parts to get them down to bare metal then I primed, painted and gave the toy a nice coat of clear. I also buffed and polished the beater which brought it to a nice shine.
I had to do some minor dent repair and fix different parts that were bent.
The new decals were made with a cricut cutter. It worked pretty well. The mixer was also missing the spring that pulled the button back out so i replaced it.
Overall the toy mixer restoration turned out great. It looks amazing so ill be keeping it! :)
Thanks so much for watching!

invest in a powder coating setup. that will really up your restore game and the visual of watching the paint melt and set is satisfying

Seria interessante adaptar um motor pra ela funcionar de verdade.
Does heating the vinyl make it release better? Never seen that trick, and my wife practically lives on her Cricut.

No. As you may have seen we put a little comedy in the projects. We were just being crazy with the candle. However, with some surfaces and certain vinyls, heat can apparently help when it comes to adhering . Thanks for the question! Don’t melt your vinyl! 😉
forgot blue boarder around jr mixer
Did you see if this has lead paint on it
@RebuiltRestored

No not on this
The paint that was originally used on these antique toys contained lead. Do you test for lead presence before you start working on them??
