and the 1080ti will be even WORSE at real-time raytracing, its better than like 10 fps keep in mind the 2080 is 800, not 1200 the 2080ti is 1200 like every other generation, the the 970 is basically a 780, 1070 is basically a 980 and probably a 2080 is basically a 1080ti the 2080 will still most likely be better than a 1080ti, but not by much but with real-time raytracing the 2080 will be much better than a 1080ti until some community benchmarks are released i wouldnt judge it off of developers say, because they have to do optimization and whatnot maybe dx13 will have even better support for real-time raytracing? also did the developer of metro say which cards they are trying to get fullhd 60fps? thats pretty important too

  • @DYNOLIUM

@@yeah6247 Yes it will probably be better but you can get a new 1080ti for 650€ here and the 2080 is 900€ min. so even if it is like 5-10% faster i won't care cause its like 250€ more expensive and "only" has 8gb (well therefor gddr6) but i really wanted that 11gb. So imo the 1080ti is the better deal, atleast here in germany. And raytracing is still very experimental imo. Only few games have it and i dont want to play on fullhd for raytracing.

After checking many reviews of many models, I bought the Strix last week and I couldn't be happier. Really quiet in any task, temps below 70C all the time (usually in the 65-67 range) and I got a pretty nice 2050 Mhz OC out of it. I also feel it has the best looking design this gen and it came with 2 games. No coilwhine either excluding the loading times of Wolfenstein 2 that run at 1000fps. So no complains whatsoever thus far.

Angry Rambo Show you sound really butt hurt, or should I say ~angry 😏, that Palit doesn't ship to NA. I also love how you base you judgement on the card on how it looks and not how it performs. IMO strix is the best, but if you only care about performance and you can't/don't want to spend the extra premium, the Palit is a great option, obviously only if you live in a country where they ship, ore else the price argument doesn't make sense

Not so much from a consumer advice perspective, as nobody in their right mind is going to run their Coffee Lake chips underclocked. It would just be interesting to see exactly how far ahead intel is in different applications and games, at the same fequency and core count.

Hi, may I ask, now when 2080 and 2080Ti are released, which model of 1080Ti is best to go for? apart from those mentioned in the video, there's EVGA K|ngp|n version, so depending on actual prices (of used models, within warranty though), the battles remains between ASUS Strix and EVGA FTW3?

So wait, I know this is 2017, I’m looking at Gogabites counter rotating middle fan on their regular triple fan cards without the full bananas version of the 2070 card, does it actually do anything or is it pure gimmick? I’d imagine that it could be quieter because of less air buffeting noises?

5:35 Did you mean the MSI Armor VRM puts out 15 watts of heat under a typical 250 watt load? I think you said a "250 amp load" is typical... which seems rather high 🤔

as long as the cooler is allright my Aorus paid off 2050mhz on the core and i saved 80€ against any other aftermarket 1080ti at the time honestly the card i had before was a 1080 strix not much of a difference tbh except for this being a 1080ti i do agree its abit bulky as they mention though

Just ordered the Strix 1080 ti, upgrading from EVGA 1080 sc. My main reason to upgrade is to play high or ultra at my Alienware AW3418DW monitor around 100+ fps. I was going to get the EVGA 1080ti FTW but I got the ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero MoBo. So I decided to get the Strix and look like its the top on @gamersnexus so I am happy.
