I was hesitating between the standard gtx 1080 and the TI and finally decided to take the later after seeing this video a week ago. I found this channel a few months ago and immediately subscribed. The content is great and descriptive. I actually selected the ASUS Strix 1070 and couldn't be happier. Its a beautiful card and has amazing performance. I recently looked at your subscribers, and every single time am surprised that you only have 148K, You should defiantly have a million or at least 999K lol. Anyway, thank you for my selection of the 1070 and thank you for not complaining about how "This SCRUBBY 1050 does not preform as well and X_BEASTRIG_X, my $5000 water-cooled triple TItan XP Build, so, in conclusion, the 1050 sucks and is useless for normal people." THANK YOU for never doing that. I hope you get to a million subs really soon, because you defiantly deserve it. :D

Tech Deals, It was a pleasure to watch you without having to listen to annoying thumping rock music in the back round, or annoying comedic jokes like so many other sites do. You were straight forward and professional. By the way I'm currently running 2xGigabyte GTX 1080Ti's with an intel i7-4790k 4.40 gig's on an MSI motherboard. Running a bench mark test on "Rise of the Tomb Raider'' with everything maxed out at 4k I got averaged readings of 120 FPS. These cards are awesome to say the least.

What do you think of the Acer Predator Z35P 3440 x 1440 100mhz (oc) monitor release a few months back? It's about a grand when on sale.

I love that you dug out all your MSI boxes as backdrop for this video, even if the most visible one is for a janky old FM2+ motherboard and makes for a funny juxtaposition with the god-tier graphics card :-)

:) It is a courtesy to MSI for brand reasons... If ASUS sent me a card, I'd pull all my ASUS boxes out for them, and so on... That is my "grand concession" to them for sending me the card! :)

Just made the best purchase of my life thx to ur review of this card. Was desperately wanting an upgrade for the past 3 yrs and was scoping out what my options were. Saw this card for 689 and wondered if it was as bad as msi armor version of the 1080ti as it was much cheaper than the other 1080ti by like 80 bucks. However when i saw your vid i rushed back to the store to grab it and was greatly overwhelmed by its performance in thermals, noise and of course gaming. btw i upgraded from a gtx 780ti.

I just purchased the card thanks to this video. Dude you are so great at explaining things.... NASA!

I own the 1080 version of this card. It is a beast just as this Ti model is and I couldn't be happier with my purchase of it. You can't go wrong with any MSI product, so feel confident should you decide to buy one.

What is the difference between the MSI Gaming X and the MSI Duke though? (Other than the triple fan obviously)

Hi, I have been using this same exact card for 2 days, gaming on apex legend, anthem and pubg. I have been getting high temperature reading during gaming around 84°C. Is that normal? How do I bring it to 74c?

I actually came here to watch this video, because I just discovered that Tom's Hardware is having a give away contest with one of these, plus a Ryzen 1700, an MSI X370 Titanium motherboard (like the one right behind Tech Deals), and a SeaSonic FOCUS Plus 850 Gold PSU! Basically everything that Tech Deals has previously reviewed. That would make a fantastic super early Christmas present! Good thing I found out about it today, as tomorrow is the last day to enter.

Is it a good idea to wait until the next generation of cards and buy something like this when the price drops?

Whats the refresh rate of the monitor you are using? 60hz?

Just bought this card. it should be here within the week. Along with a Corsair RMx 1000x psu. Replacing that RX 580 you mentioned. And a 600 watt psu. LOVE your channel sir! And yes,.. thank you MSi for sending him this card. He spends so much of his own money on items to review, that every little bit helps. Along with that is an Honest review. Not a paid endorsement.

I have one of these cards. My favorite part of this card is that it passively cools itself when using desktop only or older games. All though I think either you are mistaken or there is some variance in these cards, it does not have RGB lighting in the fans.

My 1080ti Duke does not have rgb fans. Only the Duke logo lights up. In Mystic Light it only gives me the option to light up the logo. Am I doing something wrong?

How warm your CPU is? My 7700K is about 40 celsius idle and have been up to 90 degrees with stock clocks and 212 EVO. I have Bitfenix Prodigy, two 120mm fans in front and one 140mm in the back. Should I be worried about those temps? I've played Mafia II recently, which appears to be quite heavy for some reason. Usually my highest temps are around 75-80 degrees. Can I screw up the thermal paste change so badly that temps jump to heaven?

TehAnonymous yeah my i5 7600K at 100% load with a hyper 212 evo is at 65C or less, but with 7 fans and 3 going to go on soon lol

It shouldnt get that hot at the standard slow stock speed, i think intel cripples their high end processors on purpose 😒😈

I am going to delid it when I get ATX case (due to my life situation yet I got to stick with mITX) and put it along H110i. How much liquid metal (which I'm going to use when delidding) should I apply? One fourth of what is normally placed on heatsink?

Mankind Divided @ 19:24, the CPU temperatures are erratic, jumping from the high 50s all the way up to the mid/high 80s. Why is that?

how does it sound? I got the evga 1080ti sc2 and its like a jet engine running at 80-85 degrees. Im returning it for a msi gaming x. Is the duke worth it over the gaming x?

Duke vs Gaming X are mostly style differences, both will be very similar in performance... Do you want a longer, thinner card, or a shorter, thicker card? All black with RGB, or the black/red of Gaming X?

I have this card and the fans definitely do not light up, only the Duke logo on top (I don't why MSI advertised photos of the fans with lights on them). I picked this one specifically as it's physically monochrome with custom RGB, so it'll go well with any case/color combination I decide to use now or in the future. I also liked that the top is thin and doesn't show any ugly fat heatsinks like a lot of other 1080 Ti cards.

would you do a review on the MSI gaming monitor since it's surprisingly cheep on Amazon i love your reviews regarding monitors and in general. keep up your awesome videos you inspire me.

Jacob Thurmond I'm in the same situation between either the Strix oc or Auras extreme. I watched the new MSI lightning benchmark also last night. It's probably the best looking for RGB lighting on any card. So I've narrowed down to Asus Strix or Aorus extreme,...or even EVGA SC.....Aaaaaghhhh to many damm choices!!

What about a review of 1080ti AMP Extreme

Wow I actually just ordered the 1080 Duke (non ti version) and I'm blown away by the power and upgrade from my GTX 970. Doubling my frame rate in most games. perfect for 1440p high to ultra settings gaming. The card is enormous so please make sure you have the room for it. mine barely fit in my mid tower case.

You should add "Epic Unboxing" somewhere in your video title :)
