The gentleman at 20:14 told her straight to leave you alone and that she is making you "uneasy". There's always these 1 percenters that give a hard time to everyone. This is the right suggestion I must say. Such nasty people are always there to embarrass us by cheating foreigners. Even locals may fall prey to such rogue people. So please contact an authorized travel guide or a student/vlogger to get a quality experience. But, most of the people here are kind and hospitable. Hope the bad experience won't put a dent in your heart about Bangladesh.

But I don't understand why the other fellow Bangladeshis are not even bothering when someone is being harassed. They are just standing there and smiling. Previously also when a photographer took 100 times the cost of photos from Davud, a bag seller told him to just treat it as a gift that he gave the photographer.

@@monkeysingh6939 I believe the term "harassment" is needed to be taught to those people. A lot of people from foreign countries have previously "rewarded" these working people with far more than the actual price. If I remember correctly, Davud himself once gave a rickshaw puller 500BDT in Dhaka, when the actual fare was 80BDT, because he thought the puller deserved it, which is almost 6 times the actual fare. Most of the working people shown in these videos aren't literate enough to understand or speak in English, so from my personal opinion, maybe they think the traveler is willingly spending the sum, and because of the language barrier, the situation is never fully explained to them.

Corruption is everywhere for tourists

Great video @Davud - I am really enjoying Bangladesh series which is very different from Nepal. I appreciate your efforts and braveness to explore completely unterritorial land. Although I can understand she maybe poor and trying to help someone to make some money, but this behavior of chasing tourists is unacceptable. She can be nice and honest in asking if I may help you in your touring experience and probably Davud might have tagged along and helped her. I hope someone around that area can educate her if she is approaching with right intentions. I can assure from Tourist perspective it's little scary as you don't want to get involved in any issues. Brother Davud, thank u for your patience while traveling Bangladesh. I agree some places r more dirtier, our people needs to be more thoughtful about it, it’s high time. Another main thing is that our country is highly populated & the government needs to be strict with this garbage problem. Another big issue travailing for u is the language barrier, and we do have some people who always want to take advantage of foreigners! I m sure others countries have this issue too, just keep in mind most of the people r still poor in Bangladesh, they just trying to survive! I have seen lots of negative comments from our own People but they also forgetting the fact that ‘when u r poor & have lots of mouth to feed, honesty goes out the window’ That’s why we also have major problems with corruption! I am really sorry you having hard time with the noise, traffic . I do too when I go back home. But there is just no way around it. Something big needs to be changed to fix this problem, hope government taking some actions. I also wanna point out that I left Bangladesh 25 years ago, trust me when I say this the country changed tremendously, but still struggling with some major problems! I actually can go on & on but gonna stop now. I wish I was there so I could have invited u to my house for some authentic desi food. U definitely r missing out on that, u r ending up going to wrong places for food . But after watching your videos I figured u r very independent & loved to do everything by yourself . I respect that, but please do try to go some modern areas too. I think watching your videos lots of people getting only the negative sides of our country 😢there r much more positivity that you need to show . Hopefully one they will come up. It is sad that it is so overcrowded. They do need to stop that noise over the loudspeakers. It is not their fault that they are poor. I have heard that Bangladesh has a lot of millionaires but sadly they do not share their wealth. Their governments are corrupt, because the government should be taxing the very rich to pay to improve the country!! I met a rich Bangladeshi who came to the US Las Vegas just to gamble and have fun. He was paying for everyone's meal in the restaurant. I didn't know that they had so many poor people in Bangladesh by the way this man was acting.

@easterneye yeah south asia has very bad reputation when it comes to living environment but most people always shame or are ashamed of the people for being uneducated or unhygienic, when we all know people behind government are responsible for cause of failure of country and the people, but yeah people blame religion, even though countries like Malaysia are doing decent and way better than bangladesh even though it is majority Muslim

This is kinda old part of Dhaka, you should visit the modern parts of Dhaka such as Gulshan-1 & 2, Banani, Cantonment, Dhanmondi, Khilgaon ( There is a long street full of restaurants and you will love it at night). Love from U.S.A🌎

Please don’t go to these places brother. There are so many good places out there for you to visit. We Bangladeshis also harassed or scammed by these touts in these places often.

i think you should really go to some good and nice areas of dhaka if not other parts of the country. i know you like adventures and staying by yourself but i really think it would help too if you had help from someone. i have friends who would be happy to show you all the cool places literally for free, just for the sake of getting to know you too, just like you’re trying to go to know Bangladesh.

@Facts Pilot, I can go to Paris and show you a worse ghetto filled with raw shit and piss too. Every city has its own bad areas and that's the same for Dhaka too. Yes, we are poor and we have filthy dirty areas so what? Old Dhaka and Narayanganj are the nastiest part of Bangladesh, so yeah if anyone finds that interesting then good then it's alright, I would also find that interesting but if you judge our whole country based on that then I am speechless. Just FYI Bangladesh has the most fertile land on planet earth. And most of Bangladesh is rural, not urban.

Brother you seem spending time in deprived chaotic ende how about some decent ends or different city for some scenery’s or food tour. Go even old Dhaka for nice food… maybe you need a guide, if you going to stay in Dhaka. I’d recommend you go Chittagong and from there go Coxs Bazar

The guy who refused the toy probably follows strict rules wherein Toys or photographs of living beings,even family members are not displayed in homes. Anything with prominent eyes is not allowed.Many Muslims don't follow this or don't know about it.

As a British Bangladeshi origin even me I wouldn’t go there without a local who knows the language fully well. Foreigners need to take tourist guides especially in such areas.

Firstly You need to understand the difference between a tourist and an Explorer. Suggestion for guide is applicable for a Tourist while an explorer experiences the vibrant of a place on his own and Davud is the later one which makes his vlog original and witty. Further the moment an Explorer gets a suggestion to opt for a guide which only implies that the specific place is eerie . Moreover Bengolis are the lineage of Mir Jaffar. Touts , Betray , scam is nothing new to them . They are born with all those attributes.

Take help from random people its easy thing, as a Bangladeshi we also take help from each other when we go another unknown place, no other KZread Travel didn’t take guide with them. And As a Bangladeshi i think Bangladesh is a overrated County, and most of the people of uneducated, mannerless here. So i suggest to don't visit here.
