One thing I’m not sure if someone else mentioned is how convenient these would be for people with disabilities or limited movement. Sure a regular knife and spoon can do everything just fine, but if you’re arthritic then a large surface is easier to hold onto.

That's always the problem with these Gadgets as cool as they are. They tend to be way over engineered. The best tool I ever had for avocados was working in a deli and it was just a spreader knife with a semi-sharp serrated edge on one-side. Still a cool video though!

Pretty much every gadget is replaceable by basic utensils (fork, knife and spoon) and maybe some specific, but multiuse tool (like a potato masher, what you can use to mash everything else not just potato). Gadgets can be good, if they are designed to be used with some kind of disability or if they are specifically made to be used in restaurant kitchens, where they have to prepare a lots of produce in a short time. In an everyday kitchen, these gadgets are not much more than plastic waste.

Thank you for making the guacamole recipe without bell pepper. So many guacamoles have bell pepper in it and I've found it just overtakes the flavor of the guacamole (I don't like bell pepper). It's nice to see a simple guacamole recipe without the bell pepper in it!

I have no issues just using a knife and spoon and it always comes out great but I can see how these can be really helpful for people with issues with movement

I actually have the second one. It's perfect for me because I always had a hard time getting the stone out with a knife. And I liked that it sliced it because I always put my avocado on toast

I like the first one most since you can clean it easily, it can be adjusted for any avocado, and it looks easy to use

I've always hated getting the avocado out of its peel or skin. Looks like some great products to try. Thanks for the Hax.

Hailing from The Land of Enchantment and really great Guacamole, 🥑-New Mexico-🥑, I heartily approve of this video! A couple slight notes: 1. traditional Guac, as we call it in "the biz", uses a jalapeño or green chili (canned is fine but fresh is best). 2. if you're in a hurry it's fine to skip chopping up the other veg/chili and use a good, thick and chunky jar of salsa and just add some lime or lemon juice. Muy Frio, verdad!

I saw that avocado multi tool in a Walmart once, and I though “Why not just use a knife, it can do all of that”

@@crazycheese-md5em Yep. A fork, and knife, and a spoon are all you need, with the added benefit you can throw them in the sink/dishwasher and use a new knife/fork/spoon on the next avocado, no need to wash that specialized tool first...

yeah that first avocado masher is just plain bad design. having the handle at one side of the masher instead of in the center pretty much guarantees that it’s gonna bend.
