Your comment reminded me of this one time I tried to look up an event that happened couple years ago (it was fairly recent at the time) and this video I found was titled after it. It was over 10 mins long. It was horrible. Every 1 minute the video would cut to them showing off an iron mask they made in their garage or something, like really unrelated to what the video should be about. All in all, the video was 20% the news I was looking for, 80% showing off the mask. After watching the video I made sure to block their channel off my feed. It was that bad. So I appreciate DaveHax for his no nonsense videos.

For the butter knife with holes, instead of scraping it across the butter once firmly, scrape multiple times softly and let the friction do the work for you. Same idea works great with cream cheese, although you can do it without the fancy knife

2:46 You're not supposed to squeeze it with the cap on. That's why the juice is coming out the top. The cap is there to stop dripping in the fridge.

I liked the flexible magnetic people the best. They do seem to be useful for anything.

Every time I'm having trouble falling asleep i watch this guy. (Not that it's boring) everything about his videos are so calming and therapeutic 🐐

I see the benefit of the lemon squeezy sleeves as keeping the mashed pulp and seeds out of what ever you are preparing. Which seems useful, if it works and actually keeps the seeds out.

I have a lemon gadget that looks like a bowl and on top of the bowl the is the masher so the idea is that when you put the lemon on the masher you have to spin the lemon and the juice goes straight through the holes but the seeds don’t

That knife is meant to soften *hard* butter, not already soft butter.

You having to cut your butter to fit in the butter pusher is a weird reminder that other parts of the world don't use the same standard sized butter sticks that we have around here. The gadget looks like it was designed around our butter sticks; I wonder if there's an alternative version for your butter size?

Palm peeler is best suited for the trash bin. I like the idea of that mechanical butter slicer, but it looks like it could get messy in there. Have you reviewed any ice-cube trays? I’m thinking of trying a silicone-type. The cheap plastic units are difficult.

Absolutely love the commentary! It has such a 60s feel to it.

A 07:15 A similar gadget to the Palmpeeler was reviewed by America’s Test Kitchen along with a bunch of other vegetable peelers. The results were published in an issue of _Cook’s Illustrated,_ and the palm-style peeler placed last. My grandma actually does have the particular model of palm-style peeler that was reviewed by ATC.

When I have been to the US, I noticed a lot of their butter is sold in a box with 4 long sticks. I have seen it a few times in Canada, but you pay way more for it. Those sticks would fit the butter cutter perfectly.

The Butter Cutter is perfectly sized for a quarter-pound stick of butter, but I can tell by the voice and the usage of a brick of butter that this video is from the UK, where butter sticks are less common.

Theres always a certain charm to the music in the backround the simple wording and a man showing you his curiosity with stuff he finds and buys.

Another great gadget video. Do you know what my favorite videos of yours are? When you would make crafts. You are so artistic! In any case, I'll watch your videos no matter the subject. ☺️

That palm peeler is brilliant. I have arthritis and a normal peeler is very hard for me to use

I had that butter cutter. I got it from the US and in Australia where we do not have butter in a bar format. So I did the same as the video. Cut it. But it never relay worked for me . As You need to cut the butter exact for it to work properly. Plus I found since you needed hard butter you cant use it for bread. So maybe for cooking it would be good. But other then that not worth buying.

The lemon squeezer is really good for persons who have problems gripping, like someone with cerebral palsy, or a stroke patient. Maybe even someone with ASD, who doesn't like holding anything.

Highly recommend that palm peeler! I'd been struggling with a regular peeler due to joint issues, but this one works great! No pressure on my joints at all! Thanks @davehax!

I use a cheese cutter for butter. It Cutts it with a wire and with the right angle, it cuts very thin.

6:47. I think that you need to use one side to collect butter on the knife, and on the other side of the knife (where there are notches and not holes) spread on bread.

I have the slotted butter knife...used it a couple of times...there it sits in the utensil drawer.

whenever i buy this kind of thing i can just hear dave in the back of my head. i cant imagine anyone else commentating on these products
