Nice one for cleaning and drying the larger rotary chopper after each food item!!! That must have been a mission!!!
I would love to have the rotary for ground nuts. Desserts and breads, as well as smoothies would all benefit from ground nuts, not to mention old fashioned oatmeal. Great to see more long content from you. I've missed it.

I like the simplicity of the first grater. I'd like to see the slicer recipes. Curious to see what could be made. 👍👍
A recipe you could use the sheeter for is a vegetarian, wheat-free lasagne my grandmother created. I don't know the exact recipe, nobody but her does, but I _do_ know that the "noodles" for the lasagne are slices of aubergines.

Great video Dave. I liked the handheld rotary grater. I wonder how well it would work with other cheeses, like a bit softer cheddar. And I would love to see some recipes from the gadgets you try too, or just in general.
@Himechinachae

we have a similar product; the soft cheese gums up the edges between the drum and the housing, it's kind of messy, but it does grate the cheese!
I think those gadgets have been around since the 70s at least. Probably the 1800s even,I'm old, but not that old! LOL. But it is interesting to see how well they work on various veg and fruits.
You could fold the fruit and vegetables into decorative flowers to top entrees and deserts with. When you began rolling up the zucchini, it started to look like a rose, which is how I got the idea.

12:40 If you want to grate softer cheeses, it is better to partially freeze the cheese first. The same goes for doing so in a food processor.

Mate, turn the onion 90 degrees. Fine rings. Slice off top, put starburst of cuts that stop before you get to the root, place upside down. Fine diced.
I love those cheese graters that you featured, but I personally prefer the grater that snaps into the PTO port of my KitchenAid stand mixer. Because it is using the mixer's motor, if your grater barrel is sharp enough you could chop up a louisville slugger with it.

Hey Dave if you put a potatoe peal before use it and the when you make it into a sheet boil it in oil when it's done you should have some long chips.

First video of yours i've seen; Instant subscribe! Beautiful review of an interesting gadgets!
I have had the same worktop rotary grater for about 6 months, and while its grating and slicing abilities are very good, the edges are still sharp and do a great job - there are issues you need to be aware of. Well, issue, a big one and thats the suction! I have found it to have a very narrow band of functionality. By that, I mean the surface needs to be spotlessly clean, super smooth, like marble or granite, and not old and knife damaged. Wooden surfaces no good, and old damaged worktops like ours cause it to come unstuck at the first signs of any pressure. If this happens at just the wrong moment, you really can give your cranking hand a bit of bash on the worktop or any nearby small appliances. Can you tell I speak from experience? 😂 I have tried several techniques to improve the suction but to no avail. So its a faff but I use it in a large glass baking tray, which in turn sits on a nonslip rubber mat, wedged into corner of worktop/walls. This seems to work and as its generally used if grating or slicing a lot, its worth the faff, because I have health issues which make the effort and strength needed for regular graters, or the handheld one you also demonstrated, not great for me. But, if you have appropriate surfaces, get your CC out and buy one, they are brilliant when they do work. 😊
a way to improve the gadget make the spike itself be the point of rotation instead of the paddles its already a + shaped spike so it shouldnt be able to spin freely inside the thing your cutting that would be all id do to improve it
Used to work in restaurants and a hack we used for grating soft cheese like at @12:25 was freeze soft cheeses before grating. Then, let it (the frozen, grated cheese) thaw at room temperature.

Pretty cool gadgets. The biggest issue with plastic devices like this is that they're prone to break, possibly quite soon depending on how you use it. I would really like having the smaller rotary grater. :D

Great grater (at the last) If the carrot is slightly microwave cooked it would be softer? I'm really liking the rotary slicer!!! Should make some interesting dehydrated food and other garnishes. Lasagna 🍎 apple pies
With the Sheet slicer, try soaking the carrot in salt water for 2-3 days to soften it. If you cut alternating perpendicular slits down to the skewer, you can pull it out to create a really interesting fishnet effect. Try this as the base or cover of a cooked whole fish. This is a really nice high end effect I learned 30 years ago in a Chinese cookbook. Since I don't read Chinese, I had to experiment, pickling the carrot until I could force a wooden skewer through, making the slits and then carefully cutting the carrot into a uniform sheet with a very sharp knife. Difficult and time consuming, but a very professional presentation (like when you are serving a meal to a meeting of world leaders.) (I hope you can follow what I did from the description...)
Hey Dave, just curious, if you got the option to choose one of your customized color, which one would you pick?
My first thought on seeing this was tarte tatin. I NEED!
