Don't know if it was mentioned on stream, but you can combine articulations DJ. Hold ctrl or cmd and then select two at the same time.

I thought it was just me, but I totally agree with you regarding many of the Spitfire libraries. I would need to put in a fair amount of work to make the sounds cleaner, so to me it does not justify some of their supremely overpriced libraries. Always enjoy your honest reviews....and great job working with this one!!!

Keep going! We need you! I've bought things because you loved it, I've bought things I knew you hated but I still needed it. Believe it or not These companies need you to do this. I bought Hammers without seeing this first. It was my first library using their new interface. Imaging my surprise when trying to find the best way to integrate it into my template!!!! Sounds fantastic, but the interface makes it barely usable!

Daniel, you're an amazing composer so I challenge you. The latest hype is Playstation 1 (PSX) spooky style and adventure games right now, how would you compose a song for a PSX style game right now?

I wish you would have adjusted down the dynamics and expression faders when tinkering with the warps. It might have removed the distortion you were upset about...

I get your frustration from a usability standpoint - however I do like the UI aesthetic, and feel like their "just updating the Background" is an effort to build consistency among their product line. Now if the usability was consistently better...

lol, my man's sayin' Charlie phoned in his warps when they banged on about him curating them in the release vid. I reckon it's just that no-one likes other people's warps compared to their own.

I couldn't imagine being a legit professional with tight deadlines needing to pick this up and learn it fast. I mostly just slowly work on albums with folks, yet even I feel that the Spitfire Audio player does a disservice to each product that uses it. Missing capabilities (such as multi-timbral) aside, the user experience of what *is* there is probably the worst of any library I own. This applies to every SA Player library, not just Hammers. Shame, since Hammers does sound quite good.

They can do multi timbral - or at least HZ Strings can, you have to go through every single articulation though and change it from keyswitch to midi channel.

@@GeorgeHammondMusic What I'm expecting from the player is to be able to load both Low Strings stacc and Low Brass stacc from AR1OF. Not possible, in my understanding. I don't want to just layer artics from the same instrument.

@@thisislance Yes no that isn't possible. There are definitely a lot of drawbracks in the spitfire player, but my worst one is just how hidden lots of info is.

Wow I’ve had the exact opposite experience. I honestly really love the spitfire interface it feels extremely clean and intuitive compared to a lot of kontakt libraries I’ve used. I can understand the argument of wanting more customization though

@@tuffkay7864 As an example, I don't enjoy having to scroll through multiple pages just to see all my mics or all my articulations. There are multiple other UI patterns they could do that would avoid it.

Form over function GUI just like Apple. Ooh, minimalist is popular, so let's make things harder for our clientele so we can look like the cool guys. Why the hell does spitfire intentionally make extra pages and not use the real estate? Because they are more concerned about the looks than the function. Violating the first rule of sales - know your audience. Are you making a tool or a game? It's like seeing home studios where they spend a ton of money on lights, but the room treatment is non existent and signal integrity is compromised. But it looks pretty.

I love you Daniel, but I think it's time to end this kind of "ultra-specific" criticism about Spitfire Audio. We already know that you don't like the company, as I do. But the sounds they provide are stunning good. Abbey Road ONE (in particular) and Hammers are the first "NEXT-GEN sounding" libraries for me. And I really hate Spitfire audio. You don't know how hard is for me to admit that, but it's true.

I hate the funerial appearance of the Spitfire GUI. Very depressing just when you're trying to get inspiration. It also annoys me intensely because I keep thinking my graphics card is faulty. I'm also constantly having to study the manual which is daft. Such a waste of time. Imho Damage 2 is much easier to understand straight out of the box. Just my opinion. In fact I don't buy any more Spitfire Originals because the Spitfire player always looks so dull and boring.

It seems to me that this whole joke with the interface is business inertia. They commissioned the design from a "prestigious" third party studio. And now for the spitfire to replace the interface, from a business perspective, it is to take and pay for a complete redesign of three separate product lines. They try to be big and serious boys, but in reality they have no money for that.
