i don't get whats holding them back. every song is super cool and they are the shit live. I seen them open for In This Moment and Motionless in White and Avatar was clearly the best act.

Avatar is underrated and this makes me sad.

they are getting more and more attention. They are are young anough that given a few more years they can really grow big. I mean they are already prety much the secret tip when someone is looking around for stuff. and their concerts are veery god PR too from what is heard.

they are something else live. seriously one of the best shows ive EVER seen. i think shinedown is the only concert ive ever been to that can top them. they blow even FFDP bullet for my valentine. pop evil and godsmack out of the water. andf all of those put on a hell of a show

This band does the same thing for me that Ghost does. A lot of their backing music isn't super technical (well, the lead guitar... but beyond that...) but it's so damn catchy. Their bassist really fucking drives the song forward. It's amazing.

+Joe Carter Avatar takes their vids seriously, they're not given enough credit for neither their videos nor their music imo, their music is pretty damn creative and unorthodox. At first they seem like alternative metal, but after you listen for a while they really just don't fit into that genre at all. They're like... Melodic Groove Metal or somethin. Really has a distinctive sound. Something that I've lately only been hearing from Math Rock bands.

Slaughter To Prevail has a song called 1994, it's less about the novel directly, more about the whole war thing that's going on. Fun fact about that music video, it was filmed in Russia, and I'm surprised the government hasn't gotten a hit squad out on them yet.

I really hope this one wins an award on loudwire this year, I'm happy that they are even nominated.

GOD I love the animation style of this video. It's so uniquely fitting in all aspects (colors, motion, etc.) to the song, an amazing song. Both together just make a wonderful experience!

Is it just me who sees 1984 references in this vid? I mean how they all wake up in the same time, they all have the warm-up, meanwhile some leader shout on them from the big screens everywhere... Also that idea of the long, pointless war, that in the end brings only death and misery to them all. Both sides think that they are in right, that they are the "good ones" and their enemies are the "bad ones". And don't realise that in fact they are all same ordinary people that are just being manipulated and brain washed by the war propaganda...

Dale daddy Yes. I'm not sure if it would help. Some kids are just so ignorant. But I believe this is a book that influence almost everybody, it's really... disturbing story.

These guys just had a show canceled in Houston so they got on social media and informed their fans, that to make up for it they would be doing a free show in town at a local bar. That is so fucking groovy.

This band has such an Awesome sound and in rhythm,I give them a lot of credit. Especially the bass.

Didn't discover this band until last week. What a gem. Guess quarantine could be worse.

Heard these guys live a few weeks ago at Chicago Open Air. I am totally taken by how awesome they sound. Technically amazing, but the soul of good song writing. Awesome stage show and great concept overall. I'm hooked. Can't wait to see them next month in Springfield MO.

0:45 Elysian fields in ancient Greek mythology is something like modern day paradise. In the Elysian fields only brave, honorable, good soldiers and people who used their "gifts" from the Gods would be able to go this place after their death. (Am I the only one who noticed, some references to ancient Greece in general?)

Caught these guys at Club LA in Destin Florida last Saturday April 29th. THEY WERE AWESOME!! Avatar keeps getting better & better. I love how they experiment with different tones & styles......just f'n awesome. We drove 5 hours to get to the venue.Thank you Avatar for such a great weekend for me and my husband. Also, Club LA was a great venue....hell, Destin Fl, was fun too. Everyone from the city, club, & band were super nice.

I see what you mean but at the same time Johannes has his own voice and can sing in different styles. Ozzy can only sing in one style. Honestly Johannes is a better singer then Ozzy

One of my favorite songs coupled with one of the most strangely awesome music videos.. Love it! Anyone else notice at 1:13 that they changed the art style? They went from a solidly filled-in style to a more scratchy hand-drawn style. I wonder if they changed it due to the scratchier style gives it a more dystopian feel? Either way, I think it's frickin' awesome.
